At SFS you get into more trouble for racing hard than you do for cheating. Just ask Kevin Becker. That's why he won't be back. Everyone complains but they keep going back. I would rather give my money to a different track that tries to be fair and treats everyone the same.

Lol. Guy's I'm not trying to start anything. I'm not talking bad about your car or motor or anything. I would only do that with Ford man...But that is not a wheely in that picture. Thats a LF in the air. I was promised a picture of a mod in a full wheely dangit!
|
this is dirt track, You may never really see both front tires off the ground, if the torque does lift the right front off chances are the car is going to snap barrel roll , and yes it takes a pretty good shoe to handle a car like that thur lap traffic.

That driver is Steve Holzkamper of TRE chassis. I don't know where he is racing. Here are a couple more pics of a mod driven by Kenneth Mitcham. Closest i could find to lifting both front tires. Still looks pretty cool.

I didn't know that we talked about drag racing on here? What I was saying is that mods and mini stocks don't hook up enough to have motor rules and sprints do.
Its ok mod guys, just because you can't get a hold of the (dirt) track doesn't mean you have to tell me fictional stories.

It is pretty narrow minded to think that just because you have never seen it, it can't happen. I have seen many mods "skip" both front tires off the corner when getting in the throttle (when track conditions are right). Not to the extent that sprint cars, or drag cars do, but still both front tires not touching the track for a brief instant.
But, if you choose to live in a world where you have to see to believe, then that is also your right!

Hitting ruts don't count...
Lol, man I'm just messing with you guys. Between Propps and Tony Anderson I'm always getting barraged with sprint jokes. Of course none of theirs make sense.

I saw one get both tires off the ground on a steep incline rolling backward then punchin the gas into a 50 mph south wind. It was AWESOME!

Thats O.K Cheese, those boys only dream of the day they'll be able to pilot an open wheel sprinter around a good ole half mile track. They will then jump out of that car saying to themselves bring on the Villan,Peters and so on,thats when reality sets in, they only turned a 20 sec lap. They be so pissed off that they will gladly go back to them full body soap boxes on wheels.

Like its real hard to drive a car with 10ft wide wheels and 2 wings and never have to lift off the gas. Try driving one with 8" tires and the same horsepower with twice the weight!
by the way, i'm just trying to stir you wings guys up! Personally, i think you're all crazy for driving those things!

But if they get rid of all these full bodied soap boxes on wheels who will pack the track for you sprinters.

Ya if Sprinters are so popular why is Mods just about at any track and the Sprinters have a choice of about 5 tracks? Take Lanny out of this and then you have even less choices. The truth of the matter is Mods popularity is growing and Sprinters arent.

Yeah, us sprint car drivers just ride along. You know, since we have to let off going into the turn so the car catches up...turn it...wait...hit the gas and go down the straightaway (possibly pull a wheely like sidebitewins if we're lucky) and go do it all again. Oh wait that's a mod. We actually have to run it into the corner going over 100 mph wheel to wheel with another open wheel car and all it takes is one bump to end up in the hospital. Come on guys. Your whole hp argument is old because your cars can't hook up. I actually applaud you guys because I would probably fall asleep if I drove one. It is amazing that you guys make 20 laps without a pillow.
PS: Did anybody notice how packed the stands where Friday night when the mods were off?

The whole argument is moot. From a promoters point of view, you've gotta have multiple classes, because you have to appeal to a mass audience. All dirt track race cars must "hook up"otherwise they'd make no forward progress, and would just spin the wheels endlessly; any other discussion is comparing apples to oranges. And opinions, like a**holes are everyhwere.

You mod, street stock guys are taking this way out of context. No open wheeled racers have said a word about your cars being worthless. When the mods or street stocks are going around the track, that gives everyone a chance to go to the concessions or go to the restrooms and the sprints enough time to get their cars ready for the feature.Hell I like to see a demo derby from time to time. You guys provide free entertainment sometimes. It would really be cool to see SFS do figure 8 for the mod and streetstocks once.

Heck Cheese it looks like your asleep everytime your Sprint Car goes on the track. Do you mean you are actually awake. LOL Lets equal up some tires on these cars and see which ones are real race cars without a tire advantage. Over a hundred miles an hour? heres some MPH from some tracks we race at, Enid 120's Texas 133 Pacola 130's Lucas 130's and we actually have to Drive the corners with the tires that are legal. I know that every team is proud of the class they race in weather or not it's the most popular to the majority. But every time you start taking a little lime-lite away from you Sprint car people you feel threatin, but the Mod Drivers are use to it cause we actually came from some type of "Grassroot" Racing. But I do respect the Sprint Car Drivers for doing what they do however questionable I might think it tobe. This whole topic actually came from a thread that started with "Aint Fair Speedway" its not suprising it turned into this. Just my opinion Cheese, bring on some more slander!
