As for Elvis visiting the Ditch, I'm not sure. But in a feature story in Circle Track magazine in 1986, Hooker said that he was a personal friend and spent a lot of time at Graceland. In Elvis' movie "Roustabout" the king had them paint his racing boat black and put a #99 on it in honor of ol' Hooker.
