Kinser at Williams Grove, the National Open (don't remember the year).  During the red flag fuel stop he was put to the back of the pack for "too many men working on the car".

Proceeded to WAX the field, and made it look easy.  And gave a pretty interesting post race interview.

How bout the year Lance was still running in 11th place with 17 laps to go & proceeded to pick off a car or 2 a lap and passed Lasoski with 5 to go after a red flag fuel stop, & marched away from the field. Williams Grove National Open 2002.

Drak,

It was 17 wins in a row and I believe it was 63 total wins, and the thing that made that year so impressive is the calibur of races he won. Wolfie just tore everybody a new one that year and when he pulled in the pits at your track, you started wondering who was running for "second" because you knew who was going to win the race.

I remember reading an article about that dream season and Wolfie said that the thing that made it remarkable was just being able to finish all of those races, let alone win all of them. No mechanical failures, no wrecks, no mishaps, just pure domination for an entire season.

The only thing wrong with that season was the fact that there was no way they were going to be able to live up to that success year after year and it put so much pressure on them the next year. If I remember right they won 31 features the next year and ended up spliting up because they felt like something was "wrong". Tough deal when you when 30 times and feel like you just can't get it going! LOL!

Wolfie won 55 or 56 that year and 17 of them were in a row. Kauffman ended it at Susquehanna and Keith himself won 33 that year for Hamilton.

I'm not entirely sure of this but I believe Wolfie won around 40 for Weikert the following year in 1986.

The Weikert/Wolfgang team is still the best team I ever saw and it's not close.
