If TK is planning on selling merchandize over the next couple of weeks, at least, it won't be at a Padjen Motorsports event. Penalties have been levied and properly so, based on the video I saw.
John Padjen himself will be on The Full Throttle Racing Show on www.dirtvision.com Tuesday night to discuss. Andy Forsberg was previously scheduled before all this happened and he'll give his perpective, as well.
Oh, Craig Dollanksy, Blake Feese and Guy Webb are also on the show, so tune in at 8pm eastern, 5pm pacific on Tuesday night.
Questions and comments to fullthrottle1@mchsi.com. Register and check out the DIRTVision.com chatroom for the show as well. Should be a lively discussion!

I agree with Bill W. on this one. Forsberg did nothing wrong and ran the same line for 2 laps. As for a TK penalty, it should be a fine equal to the price of fixing Forsberg's car and TK can't run the track until it's paid.

IMO...both cars hold thier line and forward momentum until Tim's LF-ish and Andy's nerf bar/RR-ish touch sending both cars askew and into each other and the wall.....hard-ass "RACING!"
Andy was comin' UP from the bottom and Tim was comin' DOWN off the top....physics lets them meet in the middle!
I don't think either driver made an intentional "bad" move.
As for TK's temper tantrum w/ a racecar....it was dumb and dangerous and I think Tim knows that, so, if it ever happens again, and I don't think Tim would do it like that if he had it to do over, he should be banned.
Too bad for the el-destructo-backwards-cool-down-lap...it looked like a great race!

Dumb move by TK. Clean racing from Forsberg, ran his line in all corners the last 2 laps and did not move up coming outta 4.
If the roles were reversed and it was Forsberg going after TK, there is NO doubt that people would be crying for criminal charges and yelling 'bloody murder' against Forsberg.
Sad to say, but I was a TK fan before this happened and was going to buy a shirt when he came to the midwest. Hopefully the penalties are stiff and severe.

Rearend, bird cage, torsion arm, radius rod, jacobs ladder, shock, wheel......You can bet that all of that was bent or broken.
I have always enjoyed watching TK drive, but he was WAY out of line. VERY unprofessional and IMO he should lose all points and money for the night and be banned from the track for a minimum of 3 nights, if not the rest of the season.
Forsberg was LEADING THE RACE and ran the same line lap after lap, he did nothing wrong. It is up to the 2nd place car to make a clean pass.

Just took a peek at John Padjen Motorsports site and they now show TK as 21st and a dq for the race.
There have been several who indicated a desire for some type of disciplinary action against Tim.
I have no idea who runs the GSC series. In the old NARC days I believe they had a board of directors who would have dealt with this type of issue.
Take a peek periodically at the Padjen site and if anything were to happen I am sure the info will be posted there.

This wasn't a GSC show, it was a regular Friday night points race....

I think that John should have discussed this with the driver and owner involved before talking to you. At the time that Tim left, today at about 2:00, there was no mention of the penalties etc as of yet. I am sure that they will be set in stone tomorrow when Tim meets with John, but until then I don't think you should be posting this stuff.

i watched the video 5 times Forsberg held the same line both laps. he never lost the lead. it's his line.
is Forsberg supposed to move over and settle for second place?
One other thing Silver Dollar is a State owned facility. things like this keep happening it just gives the people that want to close racetracks down more ammo.

After watching the video.. DAMN what a finish! That was one of those finishes you remember forever. That's why when TK or T-Dub are at a race out here that's where I'm spending my money. I'm in it to be entertained and that was entertaining right there. I could've did without the demolition derby afterward but at least he aimed for his back tire.
I made the trip to Calistoga instead and enjoyed watching Kyle Larson for my 1st time on the 1/2 mile. On a follow the leader track he was the one making the moves. Went from 19th to 6th in the A main. Also got to see him make his BCRA midget debut at P*Ville and he was very impressive. 10th to 5th in his heat and 14th to 6th in the feature. It was pretty cool watching his rookie ribbons streaming behind him while he diced through the field. You are all going to get a kick out of this kid.

I don't see how anyone can defend what TK did at all. At many tracks just driving backwards with other cars still circulating would get him banned....let alone to do it with the sole purpose of ramming someone. His car owner should park the car for a couple weeks and talk to the kid or put someone else in it for a couple weeks to let him cool down.
The unbiased, reasonable viewers all agree Forsberg did nothing wrong. Those who endorse this at all or try to defend it only prove their own ignorance and stupidity.
Even at near idle speeds both cars were easily traveling 45 to 50 mph and whoever said he aimed at the tire is also an idiot. At a closing speed of about 100mph he didn't have time to aim. Luckily he just missed the cockpit by inches. Absolutely the stupidest thing I've ever seen. He should be a man and pay for any damages on the 92, which could easily tally $5k.

TK apologists can support their biased viewpoint in any manner that they wish, but that exhibition of temper merits a fine, damage restitution and a multi-week ban. No ifs, ands nor buts.

"At a closing speed of about 100mph he didn't have time to aim" Are you crazy! That was no way 100 mph! I don't know where you get your radar gun theory on that one. I don't agree with the incident, but come on if you think he was going 100 mph. It was posted on the NorCal board by Robbie Padjen that their would be some sort of fine or penalty, i think they can handle their own affairs very well.

I dont think that how much or how little damage done by TK should be the issue. His intent was to damage a car and possibly hurt another driver!
At minimum he should be banned from Chico for the remaining of the year including gold cup.

Just to be clear without calling anyone names I don't root for TK unless it's against the Outlaws and have cheered Andy on many a night so I don't have a biased opinion in their regard. I just love it when a local can out duel a traveler, it's what I plunk down my entertainment dollars for. But If you don't think these guys can aim a sprint car to hit what they want when your watching 'em nail a 6" wide strip of hook em up race track, sideways while standing on the methanol, you might be missing what makes 'em so darn amazing!
Joe fan in the stands (like me) can't do what these guys do. TK deserves what ever punishment is dealt out. I'd also like to see him apoligize to the fans at Chico then get back in that race car so the non biased can be entertained to the max! Without TK in that race it looked to be a done deal for at least the last two laps.

I’ll admit the 100 MPH seems a little high, but you have to remember, BOTH cars were moving at probably at least 30 - 40 MPH. That’s equivalent 60 - 80 MPH at the moment of impact.

Just watched video. The only thing Forsberg is guilty of and I use that term lightly is driving wide. The same thing Schatz did untill Stewart passed him in knoxville. Typical TK trying to put his car where it wasn't going to fit. Thats what makes him exciting to watch. You think Forsberg just going to pull over. It's racing and at $4.50 a gallon give the fans a show. Apperantly it was!
