If something doesn't go wrong that he can blame for why he couldn't do it or he wrecks gramma's buick bad enough that he can't continue because I didn't "just get out of his way"......I'll stay strapped into the sports car with my helmet on knowing that my crew chief "Bubba" will kick the living shit out of the prick when he gets done slapping me upside the helmet and gets back to the pits :-).....

Where in the hell em I on some fantasy forum? To many fumes from the chili bowl or could it be delusional thinking without Prozac? Sports cars,Buick's,and Bubba doing the fighting for you? Nice......stuff...get some sleep.

You are absolutly right 28. However, no where near as much as yours. Maybe add every other driver together and come up with that amount.

Sammy has FOUR wins and should have had at least two more early on. When somebody else comes close let me know. When somebody else comes from near the back of the alphabet to the lead in the A-Main before blowing up let me know. When somebody else passes as many cars as he did that night, let me know. Yack all you want about Sammy but he is the single GREATEST competitor the Chili Bowl as ever known, when somebody else comes clost let me know. Take It Easy....

I guess all those acomplishments give him the right to be such an A-hole? Andy Martin did nothing to deserve what A-hole did.
You are probably right Mike- He is probably the greatest competitor to ever run the Chili Bowl---
if you count out Steve Kinser- JJ Yeley- Cory Kruseman- Lealand McSpadden- Dave Blaney- Ron Shuman- just to name a few.
Sammy may have won more Chili bowls then all these guys combined- But he is no more of a competiter then any of them.
One thing that just about all 25,000 people who attended this years Chili Bowl can agree on----
Sammy was a total A-hole this year!!!!!!!!!

Raz59 - trying to steer a Sammy Ditto-Head into a conversation about anything but his record is about as productive as teaching a chicken to fly but I'll add to your comments and give it one last try:
Attention Sammy Ditto-Heads:
We all concede that Sammy is one of the big three, has balls bigger than bowling balls when he drives a racecar, and is among the most intelligent people in racing. Your stats about his exploits behind the wheel are something that none of us non-ditto-heads debate - we concede on that point. If you should ever attempt to debate any of us on whether or not your hero is an asshole / crybaby / snivler / etc. then you should - just as we have on your stats about his career - concede that we are right on that point as there is ample evidence to support our oppinion. You generally don't engage in such debates just as we don't about his stature as the stats have it so I think it is safe for us to assume that you just concede this point. Agree? If so we can all move on now....

Now that folks - is FUNNY! Mark was one of the most talented drivers ever to strap into a car but I think even he would admit that his temper got the best of him at least once. Keep in mind that I survived the last time I wrote anything negative about a Sargent almost 13 years ago so I've gotta be pretty confident that this is funny - NOT negative - 'cause I might not survive a second time. PLUS - they all know where I live now and they're just around the corner :-).....

ya mark just playin ya -----my group was the biggest loudest most obnoxious Sargent fans in the stands at both the old San Jose track and the fairgrounds i still have #7 & #14 shirts & jackets i just wish thy still fit i would were them when i go watch matt at ocean ----PS-- congratulations too matt for winning the 06 championship

man for home made chassis mike always had the best looking cars and most times the fastest cars anywhere.it makes me wonder where all the Sargent cars are today.not long ago i seen a pic of a track in i think Arizona and 1/2 the field looked like old Sargent cars

Ray, read my post a little more slowly. Sammy has the greatest record of anyone to ever race at the Chili Bowl and that is undeniable. And there was about 10,000 people there not 25,000 so get a clue!
The same anti-Sammy people who for the most part don't know the man AT ALL post the same crap they've been posting for years, some things never change. The big difference is that I've been fortunate enough to spend time with him away from the track for many years and while I don't always agree with his on track tactics his off track behavior has been top shelf during my time spent with him.
Sammy could win the Nobel Peace Prize and the same few haters would still be jealous and angry but to be honest who cares. The mentality of the anti Sammy fan is what I would really question. Do you peeps say the same things about other people you watch compete and don't know or have never had a conversation with? Methinks he has just beat your driver a few too many times over the years. Sammy is a competitor and sometimes that is his biggest fault so let yee who has not sinned cast the first stone, okay? Let's not forget that envy and anger are two of the Seve Deadly Sins so you guys are in trouble already. Take It Easy.....
