What about Doug Esh? A lot of people have been waiting for him to travel west.
Jason Solwold is another guy who I wonder will be at K'Ville.
|
During the interview after winning at the Grove on Fri, Esh said he was going to Knoxville this year.

Esh is entered...59 cars today...with hardly any outlaws and half the Knoxville Regulars...they should get the 100 they need

Here's a thought for what it's worth....
Maybe the WoO drivers aren't yet entered because the Nationals event is unsanctioned. If they aren't entered, the track can't use thier names in promotion. They'll be there but why let the track use them as publicity for the event? Maybe it's just a subtle hint about what the future may bring.
Just a crazy thought...

yeah...WHY wouldn't the top $ drivers want to be associated with the biggest paying race of the year...until they get reassurance of preferential treatment and a time trial mulligan if they need it?
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

Other than the WoO guys and Knoxville guys who aren't entered as of yet...here is a general list of better known drivers who likely WILL be at Knoxville....(but haven't yet entered, per Knoxville website on July 14)
Jonathan Allard, Tim Kaeding (83jr), Ed Lynch, Jr., Kenny Jacobs, Jack Dover...
Here are some who may or may not be at Knoxville...
(Fremont has a race on Saturday of Nationals, so these guys are all in play at this time)...Greg Wilson, Blake Feese (7k), Tim Shaffer (83a), Rob Chaney, Dean Jacobs...PA's Bob Bennett and Brian Ellenberger are maybe's. Perhaps a Bud Kaeding or Roger Crockett could show up...or not.
Probably NOT coming...Dale Blaney, Brandon Martin, Byron Reed, Paul May, Craig Mintz, Tim Hunter and most of the regulars from Ohio tracks. The Pennsylvania tracks are racing, so it's a chance with most of the top guys being at Knoxville, for the rest of the regular guys to get a win that weekend. The Midwest All Stars are racing that weekend, too, so the likes of Jerrod Hull and a few others that race that series will be racing elsewhere as well.
I'll say between 90-100 cars when it's time to race

How about Brad Sweet you can put that kid in anything and he is fast, he just swept silver doller last weekend in a 410 at a GSC race and the week before that he swept the Knoxville Midget Nats
