This is Matt Harms- driver of the 53H. First off let me say that I have a lot of respect for Korey and his whole race team. I've raced with Korey for years with the Invaders. I'm also not a driver that would purposely try to keep another driver from lapping me. The bottom of the track was dry as a bone and the only good racing groove was right on the cushion. I ran the entire race in 7th place holding my own consistant line on the cushion.
Towards the end of the race, Wissmiller who won the race, went by me with no problem. At about the same time in my peripheral vision I saw a white car down on the bottom, not quite even with my car on the cushion. After that I never saw or heard another car behind me. On a tiny quarter mile track trying to run my race, I didn't know if it was Korey or who it was. But I can guarantee you I ran "one" consistant line on the racetrack. Again, I would've never "purposely" try to keep a driver from winning the race or lap me.

I would just like to say that I didnt post this to point fingers at any particular drivers I really just wanted to voice my opinion on the layover flag part of it. I just fully believe that if the flags were used then there would of been at least some warning of the leader approching then maybe the results would of been different. Like I said Im just a believer in the layover flag.
