Not sure if anyone remembers Gary Sooter from Amarillo, TX.
He started our in the Supermodifieds in 1979 and began traveling
with NCRA on a regular basis in 1981. Thought I would post a few photos
for you guys to look at. He was a great competitor and meticulous at every detail

Yesssss, I do remember Gary Sooter and thought his driving was excellent...he was my hero on Saturday nights...and yes, kept that car imaculant at all times.
Wished he would race again-- the fans loved him! Lets all get the old drivers together for fun-- and do some bench racin' once again!!!!
Would be so many fun memories....come on Jeff....lets get it done!!!!

Gary retired from racing after the 1988 season.
He still lives and works in Amarillo and spends his time
with his son Aric who enjoys racing motocross. I keep asking,
but not sure if we'll ever see him in a dirt car.

Gary did retire after a very successful year-- lots of wins in the main events....
However, he turned the page and works with his son, Aric in the motocross racing field...he too has done very well in a short amount of time....the family has a blast travelling and racing.
We love life! Lets all get together for a racing party so we can bench race once again....come on Jeff....lets put this together....fun times!!!!!
Awesome career in racing Gary Sooter....you are missed!

Beautiful car.....that Sheryl Sewell really keep that car clean....and the wheels lettered!!!! What a team!!!!
Miss those old muddy days sometimes...fun!

Here is Gary Sooter in 1984. Notice NCRA wings were now smaller.

I would love to see more of Gary Sooter's car pictures.....he always had the best equipment, top notch, and kept it oh so clean!!!!!!
