Hawker I think Swindell was getting booed more for the little half-punch/head shove he gave the guy. I would have felt differently about it had they BOTH been outside of their cars. but 21 was still strapped into his ready to go. It was a bonehead move by Swindell no matter how you slice it..........and now his son Kevin is driving for the biggest pussy in the field Saturday, Kasey Kahne. And that really sucks.........Kasey Kahne was the only napcar driver I really liked anymore.......cheered for him whenever I got the chance. But I don't care what the circumstances were saturday. He's a chicken shit.

So now you can boo him because you think he owed you something? Who's the cry baby here? "I don't care what the circimstances were saturday" say's it all.
I don't think Kasey will miss you much!

Kasey stayed at the track Saturday. He stayed mostly out of the crowd afterwards, but I did see him stop for a few photos and autographs.

Still one of the best "true" racers along with Kinser, Wolfgang, etc. An era when driver's knew everything about racing except for marketing.

Wouldn't it be nice if we could all be surprised when Sammy ISN'T a snivlin' jerk? This stuff shouldn't even make a blip on the message boards it's just something we all expect. I give the guy credit for a lot of things that would probably surprise a lot of his die-hard fans but I doubt you'll ever get me to give him credit for being anything but the prick that he is in general. Flame all you want but if you like Sammy you like him for his talent, his ingenuity, his bravado, his record on the track, and maybe the random time when he had a good night - was in an exceptionally good mood after the crowd had thinned out - and was especially nice to you. I give the guy credit for everything but his general attitude and his cry-baby antics. We can only hope that Kevin will turn out better but I keep hearing the kid is a carbon copy of the old man and showing signs that will come to mean in EVERY way.

Look what anger management therapy did for Tony. At least it's part of the reason for his change. The threat from Joe of loosing his ride probably had some to do with it also It would be sad to see Kevin display the same childishness and outrageous behaviour as his Dad. The kid has a ton of talent. Hopefully Kasey and Evernham will take the steps needed to forward his career and shape his personality without the "Sammy attitude".

I also saw sammy,s cars stalling in the corners several laps before the incident. anyone slowing down like he was in the corners is going to get hit and hit alot. maybe he new he wasn,t going to finish and took out some frustration. lame move, but great for a chili bowl needing a little excitement
I think the other driver should of been given his spot back before the incident and maybe a little time to check for damage. if his car sustained damage ending his race then maybe the automatic transfer would be in order. with all the rough driving you might of opened up a can of worms here
Kasey racing through the alphabet also could of added a little to this years bowl. kasey may have alot of obligations and one of those I thought was racing. I,m not a fan or non fan of kasey,s but if the only reason he didn,t race was because he was in the F , what a loser

Gee I remember hearing how a certain driver slapped Ray Bull still in his car two years ago. Maybe you could say karma got him the following year if you believe in that sort of stuff.

come on man if nothin else he still could have came out for that 1 race on Saturday. Why would Kahne owe me anything? If anything I would think he owes it to everyone at the Expo that night including himself. He was the only one that "took some time off". I don't know Kasey Kahne so I couldn't tell you why he did not race, but I can tell you he should have got out there and raced. It's not like he had been there since tues. or Wed. He got to come in on Friday.

The certain driver was the guy that happened to win the Bowl on Sat. What happened was that during the A main on Sat., he was running about two or three cars infront of Bull. He pushed out of turn four racing with Bobby East and Bull who was coming from deep in the field had a run on him into one and they both made contact and the certain driver spun to a hault banging his steering wheel in frustration. Just an unfortunate racing deal in my eyes after seeing the replay but obviously to him it wasn't. He pushed off again but gave up after just a few laps. After the race he ran up to Bull who finished 5th still strapped into his car and slapped him on the helmet and took off running. I don't mean to piss on the guy's parade or whatever after his win this weekend but talk about chicken shit.
Yes Sammy has done some things that I don't agree with (yeah calendarguy I said it) but I'm still a fan for life.

Maybe, just maybe the call to park it on Saturday was the car owners'. Just a thought. Kasey could be on a beach somewhere, as well as Tony and J.J. The fact that they want to race on their down time shows you what kind of people they are. Kasey is a fantastic young man that was fortunate to have a great opportunity to show his talents in Nascar. He used that opportunity (as well as Tony) to provide several other drivers rides in both USAC and WoO. I just don't get the criticism about him.

it was great to here sammy get booed after he got in a tangle with another car . every body realized how much of an asshole he is. he drives like a jerk. all kinds of upcomming stars (no names) were giving him a run for his money. and some were passing him with out a problem. the others he would slam or take out. i tell you what if that was me that he smacked. i would have got out of my car and knocked his ass out. and the crowd would have gone wild.

If you had read the whole post ,my remark was about Kasey Kane. Now take the time and read it again. It was a exchange OKCfan and I were having about Kasey.
Do you always have fantasies like that, punching drivers and fan's cheering? If you do,get some help.

Call him what you want, complain all you want but he will always be one of the "Big 3" and one of the best ever... Thanks for the memories Slammin.... Anyone on this board get your little sports car and give Sammy your Grammas Buick and he'll lap you 3 times in 2 laps.

If something doesn't go wrong that he can blame for why he couldn't do it or he wrecks gramma's buick bad enough that he can't continue because I didn't "just get out of his way"......I'll stay strapped into the sports car with my helmet on knowing that my crew chief "Bubba" will kick the living shit out of the prick when he gets done slapping me upside the helmet and gets back to the pits :-).....
