It is being reported on the NorCal board that Sammy Swindell is in the ride vacated by Tim Kaeding this weekend. Of course TK is driving a car that has been driven by both himself and Sammy in the past.
Sammy has also driven the Rod Fauver #64 (3rd in last years Gold Cup) that was recently driven by Luke Dollansky who's father drives the #2 Larry Woodward car. That car was co-owned(?) with Guy Forbrook a couple of years ago with Sammy Swindell driving.
Kind of like the Kevin Bacon thing.
Okay someone else add to it. But keep the links true and see if you circle it to PA and back to Tom Rolfe.

Just wanted to ad, there should be 6-7 former outlaw winners racing in Chico Friday night and most likely Antioch on Saturday.

Great................. we get to here Sammy whine about another local car that's not as fast as he is after he get's spanked.................... that year he drove the Beef Packers car about the only thing I ever heard was excuses. I would think that his Roth ride was much better funded than the Rofle car......
Hide the push trucks! lol.

Those were all helpful answers.
Steve - I was actually thinking about Ocean just had a brain fade moment and typed Chico. The comment was mostly for the PA guys that insist on their weekly racing have any former outlaw winners racing there.
I did see Destiny last Friday (the Hays variety) and took a few new photos. But the other deal worked out in our favor also. I went home shortly after. Sorry, I did mean to call you and let you know I wasn't there though.
Favor - He had several wins in that car. Prelim night wins but wins none the less. You must be hanging out with him quite a bit to here the complaining.

Sorry John........ I haven't heard much since that BBQ blew up in Tulare! lol. Actually I spent some time with Sammy at the Gold Cup & about all I heard was how poor the equipment was & he couldn't wait to use it up & replace it with stuff he wanted.
My all time favorite Sammy story happened years ago @ Stoga........ my dad & I arrived early & saw Sammy walking toward the ticket booth....... my dad said" Excuse me sir, would you like to buy a ticket for tonoight's races?" Sammy made a face meaner than Medusa & said " NO!!!!!! I don't need any tickets!" & stormed past us! I laughed so hard I fell over....... shoot my stomach hurts now just thinking about how hard I laughed!

Did you laugh harder then or did you laugh harder when the guy proposed to his girlfriend at karaoke night at the Moreno Valley Bowling alley?
