USAC/CRA FIREWORKS FRIDAY AT “THE PAS”
JUNE 30, 2008 --- The nation celebates its 232nd birthday Friday and the Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will help provide the fireworks as the series continues at it s”home” track, the Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.
The “4th of July Festival and Fireworks Concert” offers a 30 lap feature with points critical toward the 2008 series championship.
Six different drivers have scored victories at The PAS this year, Cory Kruseman the only repeater. Kruseman has won three times, while series point leader Mike Spencer, third-ranking Danny Sheridan, fourth-ranking Garrett Hansen, Johnny Rdoriguez and Rickie Gaunt are the others.
Spencer holds a 62-point lead over Blake Miller in the current standings with 74 available for a “clean sweep” Friday.
