Hi everybody, I have some sad news. Ricky Weld of the famous Weld racing family of Kansas City Mo. has inoperable cancer of the esophagus. He was diagnosed less than a week ago, and they told him that it has spread to his liver and his lungs. The doctors only give him 4 to 6 months to live. They can't even give him kimo or radiation.

Ricky is the youngest of the four racing Weld brothers. The sons of hall of famer Taylor "Pappy" Weld, The Weld boys, Greg, Jerry "Butch", Kenny, and Ricky were all great sprint car drivers.

There has been quite

a few e-mails sent to Ricky via his wife's e-mail at work, she has printed all of them and taken them home for him to read. Ricky would like to thank all of you for your love and support. The racing community is a wonderful family and really pull together to help our fallen brothers, rven if it's only a kind word or two.
