In the best interests of the current situation at Jackson I removed the thread by request. If anyone wants to dish it out I'll take the heat for taking it off. I think it's best if we sit back and see what happens and I'd hate for something on my board to influence any prospective promoter or the County.

Thanks for your cooperation.

Stan-I'm disappointed! I believe your intentions are sincere and I appreciate your web site/board, but I disagree with cencorship. I realize you ultimately have control, but wish you had acted differently.

The Jackson Speedway is facing a variety of challenges. Some examples include location, competition, lack of interest, etc. Most of us understand the "hill" is steep. We also hope the track can eventually succeed. I'm convinced that it can!

Suggesting that the message board is the problem, seems like a desperate attempt to distract us from the truth! The decisions made at the management level are ulitmately the focus of our negative energy. At some point the committee/promoter(s) needs to accept responsibility for their actions, rather than taking aim at Stan's board. Sometimes the truth hurts, yet it's improtant that we talk about it. Your board gives us a voice and an opportunity to share our opinions. If the committee doesn't like what they hear, then do something about it! Take action, recruit, think outside the box, ask questions, learn more about the sport, call a special meeting, swallow some pride, self examine, and keep an open mind. Some might say they're trying, but so far their performance has been disappointing. Recovery is possible, but it's time to remove the "sugar coat"!

Thank you Stan, for doing what you think is right on *your* message board. Is there really anybody who thinks name calling is condusive to communicating?

I'm not suggesting that my message board is the problem but you have to understand where I'm coming from. I live over 200 miles from Jackson up in Forest Lake and didn't even go to Jackson last year but I started getting email requesting that I remove the Jackson thread. If I want to go down there as a representative of the racing paper I write for I don't want what was said on this board hanging over my head.

Sit around the campground, feed me a few beers and I can guarantee there won't be any censorship. Unfortunately, sometimes I get people twisting my arm to remove posts and (LOL) gotomn doesn't have a legal department so I play it safe. Really, the hiring of a new promoter and airing out the problems down at Jackson are something that need to be handled face to face at the local level. Good luck down there, Jackson is a good track and it would be a shame to see it go away.

MtDew, there are some people other then fans, drivers and crews that lurk around on these sights. I happen to know that there are a few sponsors that hang out here and other sights to see what is being said about the teams or tracks they sponsor. I currently have 2 potential sponsors that have read issues on other sights and here and have contacted me about things wanting to know more about it. We have been told not to race at one local track due to the promoters lack of professionalism. I believe that some of the issues that were discussed on here could have and maybe did set some potential promoters away. Someone is not going to come into something like this knowing that the entire area is against it. People bitching about sprint, mod's bmods what ever are going to take it all in and decide that it is a loosing battle before even starting

I sure hope that Jackson Speedway does not get a promoter that uses this board as a guide to there decision making. No offense Stan, you know I love this board, but come on people. HELLO!!!

Good point KP and no offense taken. If there are any promoters making their decisions based on my internet site and message board they need to take a closer look at what they're dealing with. I'm just a guy who likes racing, lives in Minnesota and likes to mess with computers and photography. Put all my interests together, shake 'em up and the result was gotomn.com

That is one of the reasons I removed all the banner ads from my website. People were taking it too seriously and expecting me to show some professionalism.
