UPDATED PERRIS AUTO SPEEDWAY PEOPLE'S SPRINT CAR CHAMPIONSHIP POINT FUND!

(MAY 7, 2008, PERRIS, CA) Updated standings for the 2008 Perris Auto Speedway People's Sprint Car Championship Point fund. The next race, presented by Temecula Valley Pipe & Supply, will be this Saturday, May 10th. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing at 7:00.

The fund was established after numerous fans asked how they could help out the race teams in light of the rising costs of fuel and racing. Fans can donate at the souvenir stand or beer stands at every race. Fans who donate $20.00 or more at the souvenir stand will receive a free DVD from Jeff Kristensen's Raceway Video Cars. Fans from out of the area can mail a check or money order (call 951 940-0134 for details)

The money raised will be split between A Main (75% of the money raised will go to the top 15 in A main points) and B Main (26% of the money raised will go to the top 10 in B main points) drivers. 100% of all money raised goes to the racers. Thus far $3,798.00 has been raised.

Perris Auto Speedway is located on the Lake Perris Fairgrounds, home of the Southern California Fair. The track is approximately one hour east of Los Angeles and one hour North of San Diego. To get to the track, take the 215 freeway, exit at the Ramona Expressway and go two miles east to the fairgrounds.

This is awesome. Look at how good some of these guys are running! Cody is in the Top Ten in A Main and is a rookie to the series! That is pretty awesome! I hope everyone keeps on giving! Even if it is only change in the pocket at the end of the night. Every little bit helps!
