Here is an update of what has been taking place.

There have been seven drivers who have indicated their interest in doing this little series. There is also one now established group who emailed saying they were looking into doing one. I have received two emails from drivers willing to help out. Do not know if they voted or not.

There are two promoters who have voted interest in this series deal. If your one of them, email me or call me so I will know who you are.

There is one new race company that emailed stating they would be more than interested in getting involved with products and stuff of this nature.

I have tried once to get ahold of Joe Madore to see if he is or is not doing the winter deal again. I need to know "yes" or "no" so I don't step on any toes. If you talk to Joe, find out or have him call me or I must go ahead and move forward.

I am looking at Top 10 (or 15) shirts and hoodies for this winter series deal. I know who I am going to call, he is a regular here and was one of the first original advertisers. I will give him first dibs to see if he is interested.

I need you drivers (and promoters) to email me, those who haven't, and let me know so I will have names. I also need your imput on here or via email on your ideas. I have mine, will post later.

Thanx

Ya know the one thing about a series "who you Racin against". It whould be cool to see whos the best in the state. Look at these Drivers from Ok. and think how cool of a show this would be and how much would you pay as a spectator? Out east.......Wheeler, Cole, Frailey, Gould, Hughes, Skaggs........Down south Pennrod , Honaker, Brassfield.........Up north Weeder Gemmill, Roach, Kip Hughes, Chaimpi, and those Krakt Kars........ and at Okc you get Anderson, Reed, Olivia, Bobby Smith, Steve Smith, Timms, Curtis Allen, Jeff Autry, Chickering, Propps.........Plus there are tons more of talented drivers in this state! What has to happen to get these Drivers on the same track for a 4 or 5 race series??????? I dont know but I would have to say it would be "Priceless"! Another option is if a Promoter did an invitational "for a one race show" to where these Drivers didn't have to pay a dime for him or his car, the $$$ at the spectator gate would more than make up for any deficit at the pit gate and it would probably only take a $5000 to win. When this happened it would probably take more grandstands than SFS and think of the sponsership that could be produced by Ok. based companys..........But if you all dont want to see something like this "keep your mouth shut and dont vote"!

are they still gonna do the Oklahoma State Modified Championship deal again this year like last year - where 5 tracks did the honorable thing and didnt race on top of each other - where they ran 5 different tracks winter nationals on 5 different weekends. I dont think it worked as well as it was hoped - - - but it was still a sound idea and one that should be given a couple years to get on its feet. so it could eventually get sponsorship and maybe something like a points fund for the drivers that run all the tracks.

Really I just liked that none of the tracks ran their winter nationals on top of each other. so david is what you yalkin bout like that?

bobcat - i think it wouldn't even take a 5k to win. maybe just 3k with more money on the bottom end of the purse than any other series/track. what am i sayin? I aint even sure what ya'll are talkin bout lol!

All I'm talkin about is getting to see all these Drivers on the track at once. We've race with all those Drivers but it only seems like there is only 6 to 8 of them at one time. David is a fan of the Modified series last year and also travels the NCRA {which is based in Kansas}. I think we both would like to see this type of racin in OK or continued through the Oklahoma State Modied Championship Series. I'm sure David thoughts actually stem through the NCRA and he would like to see a series {like the NCRA} next year throughout the whole season. A series like that needs around 15 good Drivers and with the cost of fuel now, staying closer to home is a good idea.............................. My other thought was to have an "invitational" for a one or two day show with just these Oklahoma Drivers {for example} getting invitations. Not to say other drivers cant attend but certain ones {at the Promoters choice} get an invitation {free entry and Drivers Pitt pass}. My personal opinion is either one would be "cool" and I dont see why any Oklahoma Modified Fan would not want to see something like this. Either way it going to take "Promoters, Track Owners and Drivers working together to make it happen. But it is very true "it may only be a dream"!
