Jan Opperman, there will never be another.
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.

Rick Ferkel & Jan Opperman (and my first hero - Bill Rudolph - how many of you have ever heard of him?).
I would have to go with Gary Wright for current driver. He races many classes and does well in all - and is a clean, courteous (as much as possible when racing sprints) and an all round nice guy - not to mention pretty damned successful. Also Skip Wilson for doing so well on a limited budget. Another really neat guy.

My favorite 410 sprint drivers are Terry McCarl, Billy Alley, Scott Winters, I also like watching Davey Heskin getting faster and faster every week. I wish Scott Winters would make it to Knoxville sometime. Jeff

man I got a few. Of traveling drivers I;d have to say Jason Johnson first. - I like Shane Stewart and Wayne Johnson a lot too. as well Meyers and Pittman - I like most of em in fact. I think it is easier to point out the ones someone doesn't like than it is the one someone does. I like most all drivers until I get a different impression. As a kid - my favorite was always Wayne Johnson - when he raced here locally.
On more a local scene here in Oklahoma - I;d have to say Cody Whitworth, Jamie Passmore, Mike Peters and Danny Jennings. But there are a lot I like around here - and a few I dont too. I'm probably favorable to a vast majority of drivers. there are not many I just cant stand. only a couple here. Nationally - I;m gettin to where I can't stand Schatz. arrogant ass.
outisde of Oklahoma - Jason Johnson without a doubt. inside oklahoma - probably the 4 I mentioned above.

A very nice thread. I'm pleasantly surprised.
Current driver, Kraig Kinser.
From the past, Lloyd Beckman. He was king around here when I was growing up.

anyone not driving a small block chevy powered 1990 Maxim replica
The hopeless desire to outrun Bud Grimm's Fords is
why central PA became the toughest place to race on
the planet. Even the KING couldn't run with Casey
Luna's Fords on a tacky track. It's a crying shame
that current car owners failed to notice.
