If you would like to enter the Car Count 50/50 where the 360 car owner that makes the longest tow will get 50% of the purse just email me at: skyharborcowboy@yahoo.com and make sure to put 50/50 into the subject line to make sure I get your entry email. The entry fee is $20 person. DO NOT post your number choice here. I will post them on the 22nd. The last day for me to recieve your entry in the mail will be May 21st. If more then one person picks the same number they will split the purse.

So far we have two entries!

Joe

I will be at the top of Section K tonight wearing an Texas Longhorns hat if anyone would like to enter the 50/50. Just write down your number, your name and bring your entry fee.

With all of the talk of helping the teams out I am sorta surprised we are only at 5 entries so far!

Skyharbor,I was thinking more like 100x$20.$1000 to the longest haul.I'll sacrafice a slice of pizza, soda and a hotdog at perris tonight..no big deal.If I win ,kick my part down to second longest haul....cheapest investment I'll make if say Sherman ,Davis or or any other of Az.hotshoes show up.We need to make Victorvilles car count grow to at least 50 cars ,prove a small track can still put on an extravagaza.Only a few take home the 'Big Money',the rest need to know they won't bust their budget if they participate......Victorville 5/31...we can help make it great....

Well, we are stuck on 5 so far so it might be hard to reach a 100! So far there will be $50 in each pot.

Just to re-state the rules. The person the is closest without going over wins the pot and the other half goes to the 360 car owner that makes the longest tow!

Skyharbor,it's time to get this thing going, ramp it up, take it to the next level. It's Razel Dazel time....show up at Perris saturday in a pink sun dress with a small yellow umbrella, park yourself in turn four[I've been told that's where all the rich perverts congregate],work the crowd during intermission. You'll easily hit the 100 participants level.I'll bring a camera[ for your memoriors],easy on the make-up!Victorville 5/31

Well its funny you mention Umbrella as I am starting a company called Gooseneck Shades very soon I hope to be in production. I will be at the top of Section K again this week wearing an Orange Texas Longhorns ball cap if anyone wants to join in. We still only have 5 entries so far which is pretty pitiful considering this thread has over 900 views!

To be completely blunt, I am blown away by the lack of interest to enter this 50/50. I always have a tough time collecting any donations from others for the wheelie challenges and I think it is kind of understandable because it is my concept. I decided to try the 50/50 because I figured people would be more likely to donate/enter something that they have chance to win something back for themselves! I guess there is just a bunch of empty wind blowing on here! It seems it is always the same few ponying up the bucks from the message board! I am sure that there are some that do give without being public about it but we are trying to do some fun things to let the teams know that we are not just a bunch of idiots that like to Bi*ch and Complain but are willing to pony up some funds from here!

Joe

OK, I am off my soapbox now!

Joe ,FUND RAISING can be frustrating.Despite the good intentions on your part ,maybe the 50/50 did'nt hit home with people ,maybe it's the long haul part.I don't know.....but don't give up.If you keep on trying I'm sure you'll find a way to get the fans to help in keeping grass roots sprint car racing in Ca. viable. You know alot of teams ,maybe you could gather some autographed memerabilia and auction it off [people like to walk away with something when they peel out their hard earned cash].GOOD TRY -Don't Quit ........by the way the Faas deal was great,he paid out the purse at the back gate..not a check a couple of weeks after race nights..that keeps the budget racers going.Other promoters should do the same, instead of complaining of the lowering car count..there are ways of helping teams make races..sometimes it's just a little tweek in the way things are done

Keep trying Joe it is appreciated by all, except for one.
What might be a better way to go on the 50/50 deal is to get together with Cary, Jack and or the track and arrange an official day of the race 50/50 with a bunch of people selling tickets in the grandstand. 50% to one lucky fan and 50% to the purse.

Hello Don,

I am not sure who the one is but when I do things I try to represent the people from the message board. If someone else wants to do the deal for the grandstands that is great. I honestly just figured we would get at least 10 people with this is all.

See You All at VV,

Joe

PS. I will be at Perris next week as well at the Top of Section K.

OK, I will extend the date but I have to have your check and entry by the 28th. I dont want to wait until race day because then people can cherry pick a number. Send me an email to skyharborcowboy@yahoo.com and I will give you my mailing address. Just make to put 50/50 in the subject line and your number pick. Or you can see me on Saturday at the top of Section K.

Thanks,

Joe

Let me get this straight, all I have to do to enter Sat. night at Perris is locate the guy in section K with the orange Texas Longhorns cap and hand you an envelope with $20 per number picked and my name and address and I'm in.Piece of cake...half of the winnings goes to me/half benifits the longest haul racer at Victorville that night[may 31] to help him get home ...31 cars showed the first race night,no other so. ca.track is running may 31/$5000 to win ,I figure the car count to be.........
