Too tired for much more than a $$ update. Isn't it funny how the Gold Cup does that too 'ya? (and I was only there for two nights). The total after Gold Cup is $1,600 so we are off to a good start. I really have to thank Everybody at JPM, Troy Hennig, The Thomas Family, John Perry, and everyone who helped make the Racer's BBQ on Friday a success.

In case you missed it here is the remainder of the schedule:

SEP 22 SAT MARYSVILLE RACEWAY PARK (Civil War) - Marysville, CA

SEP 29 SAT PLACERVILLE SPEEDWAY (Civil War Finale) - Placerville, CA

OCT 6 SAT SILVER DOLLAR SPEEDWAY (Pacific Sprint Fall Nationals) Chico, CA

OCT 13 SAT SILVER DOLLAR SPEEDWAY (Wingless Sprint Nationals)

OCT 27 SAT KINGS SPEEDWAY (Cotton Classic) Hanford, CA.

NOV 16-17 FRI – SAT TULARE THUNDERBOWL (Trophy Cup) Tulare, CA.

How good are the calendars this year? I'll let you all be the judge since most of you assume I'm biased :-). What I can say is that the Nor-Cal representation is probably the best it's been in a long time. Mike Benson, Robert Ballou, John Sarale, Jerry Cisco, Andy Forsberg, Sean Becker, Brent Kaeding, and Jim Skinner are all in the calendar. Photographers John Meirhofer, M&M Photos (Mark and Matt Sublett), Steve Cox, and Michael Dehoogh are all Nor-Cal photographers whose work made the cut. Action was captured at Marysville Raceway Park, Thunderbowl Speedway, Silver Dollar Speedway, and Petaluma Speedway. And that's just the Nor-Cal representation!

The net proceeds from the sale of each calendar ($4.30 per calendar) sold at each of the above dates will again be split between JP's Knoxville Bound and Make a Wish through the Trophy Cup Organization. The price of the calendars is again $10.00 each. An updated total of the progress of the fundraiser will be posted on this message board each week.

Can't make it to any of the events above and don't know anyone who is going? Go here for info on how to buy Calendars by mail: http://calendar.heavenondirt.com/ (calendars sold by mail order DO NOT count towards the fundraiser total) - IMPORTANT NOTE: I will not be fulfilling any orders from Northern California until AFTER The Trophy Cup. You can send your order in but your calendars will not be shipped and you won't be billed until after November 17th. This is to give the fundraiser as much of a shot at maximum success as possible. Out of state and International orders will ship according to the details on the above site.

See you at the races!

Just a quick bump back to the top. Please note: I will not be at Petaluma. Fred Adams will be there with calendars for sale but they are his to sell. In other words: the Petaluma Civil War show is NOT a fundraiser date.
