Ron, Someone should know who would have records,Maybe some of Laverne's family, sure would like to see that book , be an interesting read, solve a bunch of mysteries I would imagine. I know the 84 Nance 100" car I owned had a number on the backside of the motor plate tubing. What's up in Ohio?.

JD, when did you own an "84 Nance?

I agree, that list would be very cool to read,if there is one. There are still several out there.

Got it from a guy in Bixby,Ok. when Tulsa was doing away with the 100" cars and going to 2 Bar. Sprints , I think I gave $150 for it Chassis , Motor plates, body and panels and some other stuff Nerf Bars and Bumpers and stuff, I got it in the fall of 96 and ran it from 97 thru 99 at Lawton , OKC , had couple of people drive it for me , won a few races in it , good car had to hand make nearly all the hood as the hood that came with it was pretty much wore out, Was the last Big Fuel/Sprint cell I owned. Got pics of the car at Lawton and OKC we won some races at both places back in 99 in that car, Nance made a really nice 100" car that worked really well ,I sold the frame to a guy who lives by Jones,Ok. wished I would have kept it now but needed cash at the time and got rid of it then , had all the stuff for it Even had the original Rear T Arms that Nance made out of that Air Craft Material up in Wichita I believe at Cessna, Those Arms were great , if ya broke em ya could just weld em back together and usually they broke right by the Broce/splined area. I believe the car was an ex Tony Armstrong Ofixico Car #11 or that is what the top piece of the Wedge hood that the guy gave to me when I purchased the car from him.

The serial numbers were on the tube behind the motor plate, below the steering gear. The first 2 digits were the year of manufacture, followed by the order it was built that year. Started with 1, 2, 3 etc. Don't know anything about a book of buyers.

Maybe some of you have been contacted off line hopefully? Some of the Nance family have been known to visit the site. I guess the best one that I know (he is not family though) that might check in on the site is Dennis Dye of Wichita. He might know. I believe he might visit with Mrs Nance from time to time.

Back home in McPherson, KS finally!
