Jeff Swindell smoked the Allstars at Riverside International Speedway Friday AND Saturday night. Here's what you don't read in the AllStars press: Jeff Swindell basically came out of retirement of sprint car racing and almost won the prelim on friday night. At the checkered he was all over Blonde.
Then, saturday night he won, although Blonde flipped out of the park while leading.
So, here's a guy who really hasn't driven a sprinter in years, and smokes all but one of the AllStar professional, full-timers! The icing on the cake is the fact he did it with a 360!!!

Let me get this straight, your bragging on Jeff Swindell????
I will save alot of typing, and give you just this one pc. of advice. Read the Wolfgang book. He says what we all already know in a very short and to the point manner.

It doesn't surprise me at all that Swindell is doing this well. A few years ago, he made a short comeback and won a lot of races in the Goodson Farms car after a fairly long layoff.
According to the Riverside International Speedway website, he is in second place in their 360 points. He's 100 points behind Dale Howard. He beat the USCS guys down their earlier this year and now the All Stars this past weekend.
He's just a good racer. One of my friends and I had a discussion about him a while back. We agreed that he probably would have won a lot more World of Outlaw shows and maybe even the Knoxville Nationals if he could have qualified better. Most of the time, he was having to pass a lot of cars because of deep in the pack starts.

He hasn't ran the entire season, he jumped in late and has been unbeatable. He also is racing a 305 wingless and stomping them also!

Don...if you are referring to winning in a 360, I think that's fine. It also plays into my theory that if you put everybody on a hard tire, you can just make it all about SPRINT CAR RACING again and the heck with motor cubic inches. Anybody can win. Forget all the 410/360 designations.
All the other things I've said on the subject still hold true.

Here's something else you won't read in my press release. Its no secret that horsepower doesn't play a huge factor on a tight 1/4 mile bullring. Swindell is a good veteran racer - no doubt about it. Experience paid off for him down there and knowing the track setup helped out a little I'm sure. If Blonde hadn't tried to knock the fence down (and succeeded) I don't think Jeff would have had anything for him on Saturday night.

Give the guy a break ya'll. It is like when Posse wins, Memphis folks don't win 410 shows very often and when they do, it is a novelty to some. Just like when Posse beats the WoO.

I was thinking the same thing......It did make me want to buy the book just a LITTLE bit more to see just what Holy precipice Wolfy was standing on in judgment of anyone. I doubt that Jeff Swindell's past is completely without blemish but those in glass houses.......well you know the rest.

what????
I thought the god of all things sprint, BigRotundRetard, already proved that each and EVERY driver claiming a win this season (and last) was POSSE.

His accident was tragic...but it was an accident. Shit happens, sad but true.
However, Doug was a prick before his accident... If not for his Navy Seal training regimen...I'm sure someone would have kicked his bald, little ass some where around 1984 - 1989...the pinnacle of his Napoleonic complex.

Whatever.... none of this banter erases the fact Jeff Swindell beat up on the AllStars with a 360, a two year old 360 at that.
