Way to go Tim, Bud and Robert. Way to represent!!!
And the Kaeding bros. with top3 two nights in a row.
With the exception of the Nationals has Tim finished outside the Top5 since starting with the Tom Rolfe 10 car?

That's great news that our CA drivers are doing soo well in non wing- I just hope they don't make the switch over permanently! I haven't been to many non-winged races, but I still prefer winged because it is what I grew up watching.
Winged sprintcars = the fastest and most exciting
racecars on dirt!

That would suck to lose TK to USAC. We have already lost too many to Indiana such as Brad Sweet, Robert Ballou and Bud Kaeding just to name a few. I'm sure we will lose Kyle Larson, Mason Moore and Allisa Geving to the Hoosier state in a few years. I used to live there, NorCal is way better!!! Long live Winged Sprints!!!
Coming up:
Oct 17th - Ocean Speedway: WOO
Oct 18th - Tulare Thunderbowl: WOO
Oct 30-31st - Perris Speedway: USAC Bud Oval Nationals

Don't get me wrong, I love all kinds of sprint cars. I grew up without wings and loved it. I still see the wingless cars of today but it's still different than back then. I wish everyone could see the cars of yesteryear. The speed may not have been as fast as today but to watch these guys manhandle these machines was just awesome! Sprint cars have come a long way, and mostly for the better. I returned home from the Knoxville National and while it was not the best Nationals I have seen, all sprint car races are good. It's just some are better than others!!!

Anyone know who is going to be at Lakeside tonight? What about Bud, TK, Dave Darland, etc?

Lakeside should feature Bud, TK, Darland, Hockett, Kruseman, Casey Shuman, Whitt, Ballou, Windom, Taylor and others. Promises to be a good show - wish I could make it. I made it to Creek Co -- it was ok last night but the track dried out and the tires sealed over from the yellow fever at the start of the A and got slick as snot. Still was a decent show.

Don't look for Bud to be at Lakeside, he is on his way to Springfield to run the Silver Crown race tomorrow morning.

Jules: I believe Darland will be at Macon, Ill. for tonight's USAC/Powri midget race.
Oakland: I couldn't imagine TK going wingless fulltime but it would be cool to see him run races like the TNT tour each year. I think his career would become more legendary like BK's if he did more things like that.

decent show? not to really argue at all man, but although the feature was kind of a letdown.......the racing in the heats and qualifiers were probably the best I've seen anywhere this year. Man I love winged sprints---thats about we really have here.........but those non-wings are so good. Good non-wing racing I think is better than good winged racing.
