It's a mini-speedweek of sorts, right here in central Pa!
Wed. 8/1 @ Lincoln - 55th anniversary show, $5,500 to win, 30 laps, time trials @ 7.
Thurs. 8/2 @ Port - Dream race extreme qualifier, 30 laps, time trials @ 7.
Fri. 8/3 @ Williams Grove - Sprints & 358's (Winner qualified for Dream race)
Sat. 8/4 @ Port - $30,000 to win, $1000 to start Dream race extreme, 50 laps, time trials @ 7.
Sun. 8/5 @ Selinsgrove - 410's & late models.
Where else would you want to be next week?

$30,000-to-win, $1000-to-start, $1,100 for fast time, plus Kauffman and Rahmer are managing a wrestling match (ala Port Royal vs. Lincoln Speedways) as pre-race festivities!

It's a shame the Shaver powered 15 can't make it. Thirty grand to win should always include the fast cars.
The hopeless desire to outrun Bud Grimm's Fords is
why central PA became the toughest place to race on
the planet. Even the KING couldn't run with Casey
Luna's Fords on a tacky track. It's a crying shame
that current car owners failed to notice.

Ok, I will humor you. Why can't the Shaver powered 15 make it? The race is unsanctioned and open to any team interested in racing for $30K.I have been looking forward to this race more than just about any other this summer. Judging by the crowds that come out for Speedweek, PA should have more unsanctioned big money races that put admission dollars into the purse instead of into the coffers of a sanctioning body.
I am going to support this race because Port deserves much credit for stepping up and offering a huge purse. Considering most $10,000 to win shows are $20-25 at the front gate everywhere, I think $27 for $30,000 to is very reasonable - about $8-10 cheaper than I thought it was going to be.
