Didn't Jack Walker build a lot of Edmund copies or maybe they were kits.

Interesting tidbit about these cars. The first one was skinned out of aluminum. The tail was formed to fit over a buck and then welded together. The top was basically formed by eye. All Edmunds bodies came from this car-

A guy in Neosho MO has the original molds for the Edmunds bodies. They were shipped to Evart Isaac with the last car built. I believe that was the story.

Yes he did. Like I said, I don't know for sure who built this frame. The welding doesn't look the same. Mine is like a seasoned arc welder. I thought theirs was with a Tig.

Wow, that's pretty cool! I guess Don was ready to get out of the super business when he saw all of the copies being made. This was a do it yourself generation.

These cars did come in a kit form, maybe not always but they did sometimes. I read somewhere that one of the Cates dueces came this way from Edmunds. I don't know how complete they were. I'm sure you could get only what you needed.

 When we first got this car the frame was mettallic blue, does anybody remember a car like this from the early '70s? Sorry there were no old numbers or even paint on the Edmunds body when we got it. Story has it it ran on the 1/2 mile at OkC.

This car was sold to Doc & Jr. Waters from Kansas City. The # was changed to 3 and ran at Olympic Stadium some in 1967. They sold it to Gary Scott and it was the wee 3. A picture of it is on p32 of High Planes Thunder with Scott at The Missouri Fairgrounds.

Weeeellllllllllll, I shoulda known. Yup you guessed it, it's not an Edmunds. It's possible it may have been put together from a tubing kit but I doubt it after looking it over a lot. Don told me some of the things on the car looked very familiar and he even said "close but no cigar". Well, close will hafta do. I used to sit in this car when no one was looking and proceeded to win every race I could dream up.
Except for one, when my Grampa rang the dinner bell!LOL. He was not a patient man.
