Peter Murphy Joins Elite Racing For Selected Events!
By Gary Costa
Clovis, CA – July 23, 2007…Peter Murphy and the Elite Landscaping, Ridgeline Framing Racing team have come together and have joined forces to race their winged 410 Sprint car for selected races.
Peter’s first race behind the wheel of the Maxim will begin this weekend for the Golden State Challenge Series double-header finale at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico this coming weekend July 27th and 28th.
Peter is coming off of 5-strait SCRA Sprint car wins, including a 50 lapper last Saturday night, Peter is no stranger to winged Sprint cars. He will get his elbows up in any car and at anytime, and proved just that last June where he finished 7th in this years prestigious 2007 Jim Raper Memorial Dirt Cup in Skagit, Washington.
“I’m very excited about this opportunity and it will be fun to race at Chico again. Being able to have good equipment under me and a good team, I believe we should have a good go!” Peter stated from his shop in Fresno.
All of us at Peter Murphy Racing would like to thank: Everyone at Elite Landscaping, Ridgeline Framing and all of our loyal fans.
We’ll see you in Chico!

So, Peter will be driving the #9 car that has been driven by Ric McCormick?

Thanks for the kind comments "Loser", all of us at PMR appreciate them! After you meet his parents, it's a no brainer why he is the way he is. Awesome people...
I'm sorry race fans, I should have been more clear on the car he was driving, so for that, I do apologize. It will be the #9.
Pete runs a 50 lapper the previous night and he was back at it, working the next morning. Here is a pic of Peter and myself taken yesterday (Sunday) at his immaculate graphics shop in Fresno...

Sweet for Peter
At Dirt Cup Peter had to restart the race at the back of the field then work his way back up; a hellofa race
PS: make sure when your driving him around that he don't push down on your right foot when your passing a cop

No Worries Mate... Peter no matter what the situation is the most fan friendly driver. Well that might currently, after all anyone that ever met Rick Horten, would have a good argument. Maybe Peter can keep BK from breaking the wins record. Good luck Peter!!!
