I know, "nobody" cares about Indy anymore. But after beating such long odds to return to the cockpit, wouldn't it be cool to see Davey Hamilton win the 500 this year?

Don't count me as "nobody" and yes it would be cool.
He's had the making of this race his goal since his crash and it is just way cool to see him in the race.
Also pretty cool to see three women make the race and I'm kinda of rootin' for Danica. Or maybe Marco. I fear for Al Jr. and Michael. Although, if they made the pace car a squad car, Al might drive faster...
Sorry.

I hope Sarah Fisher kicks the snot out of Danica. Either on the racetrack or off - as long as they catch it on video, I'm good :-). There's only one thing better than a good chick fight but I won't go into that here......:-)......
As far as the guys go I'm rootin' for Marco. That boy won the race as far as I'm concerned. The save he pulled off when he got squirrelly coming off turn 4 early in the race was miraculous to say the least.

Im good with Hamilton getting #2 on Sunday. I'd like to see AGR get one for Michael or Marco too. If Geibler can stay clean, he just might climb to a top 10.

KANAAN FASTEST FRIDAY • NO NABORS
TONY KANAAN/No.11 Andretti Green Racing Honda was fastest Friday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the final IndyCar practice prior to the 91st Indianapolis 50 race on Sunday, with a lap of 225.467 mph/39.9171 seconds.
Other fast drivers included polesitter HELIO CASTRONEVES/No.3 Team Penske Honda and MICHAEL ANDRETTI/No.39 Andretti Green Racing Honda.
Second through fifth were DARIO FRANCHITTI/No.27 Andretti Green Racing Honda, Michael Andretti, Castroneves, and JAQUES LAZIER/No.21 Playa Del Ray Panoz - the top Panoz of the three in the race.
All 33 drivers were on track for the hour-long session as part of Carb Day. The session was halted twice for track debris.
The weather was warm and breezy, with hazy skies. Still no signs of the forecast isolated thundershowers, but no matter now. The IRL cars won't be on track again until race day Sunday noon.
Friday's one-hour IndyCar practice is a shakedown for some teams, a readiness check before the long Sunday race. BUDDY RICE/No.15 A1Team USA/DRR Honda said most drivers already has setups and will be checking everything and then parking it. He didn't expect anyone to be making any big changes, but rather checking the track and conditions. "It's only an hour session. You won't see massive adjustments for Sunday's race."
The setups Rice and teammate SARAH FISHER/No.5 AAMCO/Dreyer & Reinbold Racing Honda had were very helpful to their new, third teammate for the race - ROGER YASUKAWA/No.24 Wellman Corbier/DRR Honda, who qualified on the third day as part of a second-week Indy 500 program. Yasukawa qualified twenty-third. Rice will start sixteenth and Fisher is twenty-first.
For the first time since 1986, JIM NABORS won't be singing the Indiana anthem "Back Home In Indiana" before the 91st Indianapolis 500. Due to illness, he'll be home in Hawaii, but on the Big Screen at the track, asking the fans to have a sing-a-long instead. Nabors first sang the song in 1972, and has only missed singing it seven times since then.

John Mellencamp should be the new "Back Home" singer. Or maybe SC Photo?

Good lord no Mike, I remember what it was like when they rolled out the Disney singers to sing Back Home Again. Only time I can remember 350,000 people booing kids 14-18 years old.
I hope Davey has a good run on Sunday and just gets thru the race in 1 piece. I don't care who wins as long as it's not Shamica. Hell I'll root for Michael to win before her and I can't stomach him at all.

My reasoning for Danica is that it would be great to see a woman win and in my opinion, she is the only one with a realistic chance.
Bob Seeger should sing.

Ive known Milka for a good 6 years, I really hope she just brings it home and has a great race. Dani has a great car but I lined up the star charts. Kanaan will be tough. Dario will be there too.
Go AGR!
Marco's first win was nn the 27th. What's Sunday?
ANDRETTI IS NOT SLOWING DOWN AND IS THE FIRST IN THE FAMILY SINCE MARIO!!!!
Time for the Borg Warner and some milk! Sorry Emmo, lol...
