This is my first time trying to post an image... I thought this was an interesting "before & after" with BK and George Hague.

I'm almost certain that shot is from Baylands so it would have to be from '88 or sooner.

You are both right. I scanned the first pic from the "Last Race At Baylands" program which is from the end of the '88 season. I was going to give it away until I saw all the autographs my daughter Jenni got on it... it's now a keeper. And by the way, the "new" image is from last weekend's Bradway Memorial at Chico by John's Racing Photos.

Wow that's a classic picture and I am pretty sure I was at that race. BK hasn't changed much just a little more gray, but he is still in good shape for a guy that will be 50 this year. George still looks pretty much the same also, but his hair is straighter

Here's a cool "kicker".... If I'm correct, the flagman is the same for both pics... Willie Williams.

I have the feeling you are wrong on the flagman Top. I'd be surprised if it wasn't Bruce Homer flagging that race. I have that program somewhere without the autographs - never was much of an autograph seeker. I also have the "Last Sprint Car Race at Baylands" T-Shirt tucked away somewhere. Never wore it - just kept it in the bag it came in knowing that would be my little piece of history.

Although the program is from the last race, the pick of BK and GH is from earlier in the year. Willie did most of the "regular" shows. No way to tell though.

Cool comparision. I want to know where my curly hair went. Few pounds lighter too.
I belive the photo was traken at Baylands early in "88..
My jacket was given to me at Kings Speedway. I to have the last t-shirt in a bag and the last program.
20 years ago. I feel older all of a sudden.
Thanks for the memories.

George nice to have you with us on the forums! I want to say thank you for doing such a good job over the years with your infield reporting. Again thank you.
On another note, that interview with McCarl at the World of Outlaws show earlier this year was something huh? When he grabbed the microphone out of your hand I was stunned...too funny. Sometimes drama is nice to mix up the mundane "I would like to thank my sponsors Joe so and so and Bobs concrete pumping and Super Tire Center...blah blah blah." Anyhow thanks for giving so much over all these years. I appreciate it.

Glad you got to see it George!
And thanks again for the Bradway. Lindsey had a good time as trophy girl, she said you're a "nice guy" and I guess that made it easier for her.
That program lists the winners that year and the last race BK won at Baylands was August 8th. Assuming George is doing a winner's interview, my bet is the pic is from August 8th. The question then becomes who was flagging then? I'll ask Willie the next time I see him.
