Joey went out way to early in time trials, ran a bad time. They never seemed to recover the whole nite.

Thats BS! Last night had nothing to do with when Joey went out for qualifying.
The cars were turning fast times in Hot Laps, Meyers even hit the sub 11 second mark in warmups. Joey was just not on a track he can drive well on apparently. That car is setup for big tracks where the topsecret big bore short stroke motor runs well. haha
He was slow in warm ups, slow in qualifying and got out drove in his heat race missing a transfer to the A. Not a good night for him or Donny indeed.

Schatz flipped in his heat. Haud made it exciting last night racing with TK for the final transfer in their heat then coming up through the B and then in the featch until he took a ride in turn one. Saldana was just off all night. Couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

haud biked pretty hard in turn 4 and we think something broke when it came down. he said going into turn 1 that he hoped it turned. it turned over and over lol. the fans were great. they all came by with hellos and a haud story to tell. jac signed autographs for everyone. the boys are looking forward to next week.

Easy Gaytes, just givin my opinion. Joey did go out extremely early and the times did get better later, but whatever. But what I was saying was that he started off bad and never got it together, but again whatever. As far as being setup for the big tracks... you might wanna check your stats genius, the 9 hasn't won on a 1/2 mile yet this year!! But being
bill GAYTES you must know it all.

I've seen him win at Lima, Watsonville and Attica. All small tracks. If your a Saldana fan what better way to have a crappy night than to have your strongest competition have an equally bad night.

hehe. thats funny.
I don't think that the "top" guys of WoO are so tops on bullrings. Thats why I love 1/4 or high banked tracks smaller than 1/2. Its majority skill and lesser equipment............which is not the case on those big ol 1/2 mile tracks.

Tk was the first car out to qualify and wound up 20th fast. He said it was really rough in qualifing and the track did get faster...........I won't use his exact word on the track conditions.....=0)

Go ahead and add Tulare and Dixie to tracks that fit under your 1/2 mile criteria that Saldana has won at this year. He's got five wins and Schatz has four, there both winning on different size tracks and thats where the skill is.

It did seem that Saldana struggled all night. Lasoski was having a smooth time either. He's part of the reason Schatz flipped. I watched as he seemed to spend more time than anyone studying the track conditions.
Congrats to Solwold on quick time and a second place finish!

I think it's safe that all of the above mentioned tracks in this thread are not as small and tight as Haubstadt and "The Ditch" are. They are races where Saldana has posted two of his worst finishes this year.
The King is just that as he was first and third at both of those events.
