Been keeping an eye out on the live updates from TJSlideways.com on the USAC show at Eldora.......

Robert Ballou wins it from row four! I know he has is critics here in No-Cal....myself NOT being one of them. He's fun as hell to watch, and he just beat the best USAC had to offer, at the Big E, wingless. Congrats to Robert, Jimmy Jones and everybody involved. Pretty cool.

I knew the boy had it, just not this quick. Used to watch him at Kings and between his races instead of pickin' his nose or chattin' up the dollies he'd be in front of the grandstand watching how all the rest of the drivers did it.

Now there's a reason to follow USAC!

What's funny is all of the jackasses on this board who have done nothing but talk negative about the kid because of what they think they know about him. This is one of the most focused kids I have ever been around, especially for his age. I would bet that no one on this board has any clue as to the dedication and desire this kid has towards his racing. In a time in this world where kids his age are drinking and doing drugs and have no desire to do anything with their lives, I would think that he would have a lot less naysayers and a lot more fans from Nor Cal rooting him on as one of their own. Robert is one of the best kids I have ever been around and if everyone had a chance to get to know him, most would agree. I urge everyone in Nor Cal to root him on as he is representing all of us.

The reason alot of people dont care for Robert Ballou is due to his own on track actions. The kid tore up a boat load of other teams equipment in his quest to stardom. He has always had talent that much was never in doubt. He just had a f*** it attitude towards other racers that has drawn the heat from others.

I hope he does well on the usac national tour, just keep it upright and dont lean too hard on other peoples equipment. It wont make you any buddies and certainly will not allow you to last long on the circuit. Tulare last year was a real good example of his antics and I really hope he learned something from that crap and keeps the racing clean.

I would bet there are quite a few people on this board who know more about Robert than you think jray.
