This week's snowstorm was a perfect opportunity for a Sunbury man to put his remote-control plow through its paces.

For three years, Bill Lauver has cleared snow from the comfort of his living room.

He watches from the window as a converted golf cart with a plow attachment clears the driveway while he operates it with a remote control. The plow is a four horsepower electric cart, geared down for a slower speed and more power to move snow.

The plow can handle six to eight inches of snow, but Lauver said the snow Tuesday and Wednesday was a bit hard on it because the freezing rain made it crusty.

Lauver has ideas for some other projects, too -- possibly a remote-control lawn mower or snowblower.

His wife Sue said, "He's always controlling everything by remote."

Sue Lauver said she'd like to her husband get more exercise.

Maybe the Leibys should call the guy up....might be able to use the robo-plow next weekend? Foot of ice and snow on the ground here, yet Lincoln Speedway website still says they are racing in 6 days...lol.

Rahmer's new ride?

From williamsgrove.com...."Racing for Sunday Feb. 25th has been postponed to March 4th due to severe ice and weather conditions"

Lincoln's going to wait it out since it is supposed to get in the high 40's this week.
