I see on the Hoseheads forum that TK has been released by SKR, reportedly due to lack of sponsorship. Sucks big time!
He's scheduled to be on the Jackslash show tonight so hopefully he'll give more details.

How can such a talented driver be without a ride? I hope this is only temporary and he finds a ride soon!

That is a shock, so soon! We figured there would be drop outs
on the WoO tour but after only 3 races? Sounds like Steve wanted
to avoid hauling the 11k to Tulare and back, along with associated
expenses. Can't blame him too much tho after what he went thru last season.
We should immediately start promoting TK with some Calif. owners to run Tulare and the Mini.

How about the 83 car that he ran at the Trophy Cup last year or drive BKs second car? I hope that at least he can race locally in California.

this is a bad deal for tim they need to find a sponsor i mean who wouldnt sponsor a guy that won the most races in NST last year and that was first year running the circut

If in fact any of this is true, and I really dislike participating in speculation, I'm sure Rod Tiner is among those "in the know". It's selfish to say that because of this we may get TK back here in California when, if you think about it, California is the LAST place he needs to be. Good luck TK and if I win the lottery tomorrow you'll have everything you need and California will be in our rear-view mirror as soon as you get done sweeping Tulare.....

Well Tim ended up not coming on the show but gave the guys permission to say that he was released from SKR. Sounded like he had something in the works and it would be announced soon.

What else can the kid do, he races his heart out, probably the standout driver in 2006 and he is RELEASED?????????????? The poor kid has never been able to buy a break! He deserves much better.

If money is so tight for the SKR team, maybe Steve would be better off sitting out a while and let TK run the green car........Lord knows Steve hasn`t done much lately!!! TK is currently ranked 3rd in the country according to SC &M, I think there are some other drivers that are a little worried about thier rides today!!!

www.ibracn.com has an update. Now it looks like it's not true and Steve's had a change of heart. Hopefully this new development is true.
