The silver #4 Alexander sprinter will be on display Saturday, August 9, at the Zanzabuku Sports Lounge in Lakewood. Last year's championship USAC/CRA sprint car will be parked in front of the sports lounge from 2 till 5 p.m. Mark and Steve Alexander and most of the team will be available to answer fan's questions. Tony Jones, last year's defending champion, will not be with the team as he will be back in Indiana with his father Bubby, who will be undergoing scheduled heart surgery. The team will be displaying its new DRC chassis as well as new paint for the event. The bar plans a raffle and 50/50 draw in support of the team. The Zanzabuku Sports Lounge is located at 4825 Paramount Blvd. in Lakewood. For more information contact the bar at 562.423.9872.

Just a note to race fans, we have added a barbecue to Saturday's event with the Alexander sprinter. Also we will be holding our drawing for the rare Spuds Mckenzie Bud Lite dog that afternoon. You don't have to be present to win. All proceeds go to the race team. We will also be having our very popular karaoke that evening beginning @ 8 p.m. Happy Hour prices from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Just a reminder that the famous #4 "Silver Bullet" Alexander sprinter will be at the Zanzabuku Sports Lounge this Saturday afternoon between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. We are hoping to announce a couple of new sponsors for the race team during the event. Tony Jones, who is back in Indiana with his famous father Bubby Jones, who is undergoing scheduled heart surgery, has sent his best to all of his fans and thanks everyone for their well wishes for his father. I believe the surgery is scheduled for today, August 8. We will have a raffle for our very old and rare Spuds Mckenzie Bud Lite lamp plus other assorted items. Also a small bbq is planned. Not having the "dog" here to look at (its at the bar) I am guessing that the date on it is 1980s or there abouts. Come on down we are easy to find Grunk, but please don't wear one of your bikinis! lol

Well, since there is no racing due to the cancelation at the PAS for this weekend, I think I will head down to the Zanzabuku and support the Alexander racing team.

The owners of the Zanzabuku Sports Lounge in Lakewood would like to thank everyone associated with our event for the Mark Alexander Race Team. We were able to generate more money toward our goal of helping Tony Jones and the team. Special thanks to Lance Jennings of SCRAFAN for his generosity and to So-Cal Performance and Steve Howard.
