I see where stewart grabbed the headset off of a USAC official at ORP thursday night. He did not agree with a call against tracy hines.Maybe they need to park his cars for a couple of shows. he reminds me of a 2 year old when he dont get his way. Someday he will mess with the wrong person, and get what he has coming to him. They should ban him from all motor sports until he learns how to act like a professinal driver/owner.

Hewitt, Foyt, Cale, etc., do it and it's really neat and "telling it like it is!" Stewart does it and he should be hung. What the hell is the difference? So he sticks up for his driver when he thinks he got shafted or for whatever reason it was. Good for him. Thanks for backing me up, Boss!

This is very funny coming from a Sammy fan. Tony Stewart makes things interesting. Political correctness is boring.

From the posts so far it is obvious there are two views to this issue.
Personally, it is like my alimony. It gets old very quickly!
Just my two cents...as that is all I have left after I write that lousy check!
Calling an illegal immigrant an "undocumented worker"
is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed

Haha, insert foot in mouth. This is hilarious coming from a Sammy fan. "They should ban him from all motorsports until he learns how to act like a professional owner/driver" Really? Seems to me a couple years ago there was an altercation between Sammy (owner of Kevin's car at the time) and another driver on the track and I don't need to get into all the examples of what Sammy has done to another driver or official while he was driving now do I? Come on man, you have to be joking. Someone please tell me he's joking?!?!

i never said sammy is perfect. he always went after kinser and got his butt kicked. how many times has sammy rammed a car on pit road, or physically abused someone from the media or had to take anger management classes? stewart is in a whole differnt situation now being a owner in nascar.far as standing up for your driver, that is fine. but you dont have to phyically hurt someone to get your point across.he probally wanted hines to get another qualifying lap then realized he wasnt at eldora

As long as he don't harm the person physically, I have no problem. It gives the fans a little extra show.

Geez, I remember Jack Hewitt and Charlie Scwartz standing on the roof of a dirt late model ready to take on the whole Newcastle Motordrome one very hot summer night in 1982 I think it was, the crowd went nuts the officials went nuts, and Hewitt and Scwartz were ready for action. Charlie got a life ban from Australian speedway for decking an official (he was back in 2 or 3 years anyway as he was so popular) and Hewitt lived to fight another day (he was such a crowd favorite that he'd never be banned)
Bring back the good ol days!!!

Tony Stewart's lack of self control has nothing to do with being politically correct. I hate when people suggest that our drivers should act like a spoiled 3 year old, in order to bring our sport back to greatness! Give me a break. I'm not suggesting that someone should punish Tony, but we certainly don't need to glorify his lack of maturity.
I appreciate Tony's dedication to our sport, but I'm not impressed by his anger management techniques. His reckless display of emotion is a character flaw; it has nothing to do with his desire to win or his greatness. We need to examine our posture on the politically correct issue! Speaking your mind and acting like an idiot are two different things.
One more thing: No disrepect to Jack Hewitt, but I wasn't as impressed with his "kiss my dick" video as some. Sure it was funny, but not something our future stars should strive for!

I realize Jeff's money belongs to him (well, come to think of it some belongs to Brooke) but it does seem he has forgotten his racing roots! Too bad.

I'd pay to watch Jeff Gordon and Jimmy Johnson race sprint cars, but I wouldn't spend two cents to hear Hewitt say "kiss my dick". Once again, you're confusing tact with talent. There is a difference.
Lets focus on an example that most of us can agree on; his name is Kyle Busch. Most of us agree that he can wheel a race car, yet we can't stand his arrogance. I'm not convinced that his cocky attitude has somehow elevated NASCAR's appeal. (It was just an example, settle down NASCAR haters)
Is it his personality that we hate so much, or is his poor choice of words? I wanna see a driver get the fans revved up by passing the leader on the last lap, coming out of turn four, not because he said something stupid after he flipped his dick off.
I don't know...swearing and lack of maturity just don't do much for me. Watching Jack run 4 inches off the wall at Eldora should be the type of excitement we brag about!

both the busch brothers are as spinless as they are phony, that is why we can't stand them. don't confuse kyle with the likes of AJ, Smoke, Jimmy Spencer, Robbie Gordon, Hewitt, Steve Kinser, Sammy, Marshall Sargent or any of the others who may have at times gone a bit loony but at least stood up for themselves and their position on things. is it always the right thing to do? probly not. do we respect them for telling it like it is and acting human in the heat of the monent? you bet. respect as a person is something kyle has yet to gain from most fans.

Stewart involved in altercation at ORP: #20-Tony Stewart expects to be fined by the U.S. Auto Club for an "altercation" with an official during Thursday night's race at O'Reilly Raceway Park. The incident occurred after points leader Tracy Hines, who drives for one of Stewart's two National Midget teams, got into the wall and there wasn't a track official or push truck present to help get the car back in the race. Hines' crew reportedly attempted to change a right rear flat and get him back into the race before another restart. As the crew pushed the car to the front of the straightaway, a USAC official indicated it was too late. Stewart then came down to pit lane to get an explanation for the call. He reportedly knocked the headset from the official's head and then shoved him. "We had an altercation," Stewart said Friday at IMS, "It was a situation [where] we didn't understand a call they made." In a statement Friday, USAC official Kevin Miller acknowledged that there was an incident but would not say who was involved.
Takes the heat off of Sammy for a while.....
