CRA SPRINTS RETURN TO ACTION AUGUST 16 AT SANTA MARIA;
HANSEN GRABS PERRIS 30-LAPPER
JULY 21, 2008 --- The Lucas Oil USAC/CRA Sprint cars return to action August 16 at Santa Maria (Calif.) Speedway. The race originally scheduled August 9 at Perris, Calif. has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts.
Garrett Hansen of Manhattan Beach, Calif. won Saturday night’s 60s Night race at Perris Auto Speedway. Driving the Mark Priestley Roy Miller Freight Lines/Sander Engineering Bullet/Mopar, Hansen wrested the lead away from Blake Miller on lap 28 and led the final three laps to beat Miller, Tony Jones, Tyler Brown and Rip Williams.
Series point leader Mike Spencer finished sixth. Seth Wilson led the first two laps but finished 18th.
