This is a million to one shot, but if anyone happened to see someone walk off with a video camera that was on the lift outside turns 1-2, please contact me. Mike Truex was shooting there and someone stole his camera during the fireworks show. It a big camera, couldn't have fit in a purse or backpack, its about 3 feet long. Hard to conceal. Thanks

The person found with the camera should have the same camera used to record his fingers getting broken with it!

Mike Truex is one of the best, He and his son bust their buts week in and week out giving us GREAT racing videos. If you know of someone who possibly had a couple too many beers and made a bad choice and took Mikes camera I will give $500 and ask NO questions to help Mike and his son get their equipment back. Obviously who ever took it is a sprint car fan, and NOONE is a bigger fan then Mike. Like I said,.. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Lets just mike his equipment back so he can keep doing what he does SO WELL!

Could you please post the specs on the camera and give a discription. We will keep an eye out on Craigslist and other sites...like many others are probably doing.

Kevin and the rest...wow, you are great for putting up a reward! I don't know Mr. Truex but then again I feel like I do.

What ever we can do to keep vigilent.

wow...wasn't expecting that, you guys are awesome.

Kop- now why would I want that evidence to be held against me...trust me, no highlights of that will be available!

Kevin - Not so positive it had to be a sprint car fan, the place was packed with the fireworks and all, lots of first timers. I really want to believe it was not a regular fan.

Joes dad - there is usually no access to that area from the stands, the gate however was down last night.

Pete - below are some pics. Its a Sony DSR300 with a canon lens. Mike is going to contact me today with the serial number. We will check e-bay everyday, thanks for the craigslist idea also. A police report was filed, so local pawn shops will be notified.

Again thanks to you guys for having our backs!

One other possibility is there where a lot of people taking photos/videos of the fireworks show possibly someone caught them on tape walking up or down a set of stairs. When you guys look at your videos look for someone looking suspicious! Joe

I looked at my footage first thing this morning thinking the same thing. Unfortunately the lift was naturally down at the time and not visible behind the billboards. Also all the track lights were off for the fireworks. All you can see on my video is the fireworks. The best bet would be if someone sitting in the bleachers in 1 perhaps saw something.

Racer88 -They can UPS to me, but its not my camera, its Mike's from Loudpedal Productions

If you can, have Mike email me directly. I may have a way to get a replacement for him at the best price possible once he gets a settlement from his insurance company if that is possible. I have a very good connection at Sony.

Most likely it was a NON Sprint car fan. As being in the 4th of July allot of locals come for the fireworks show. The surrounding area is not that great.
