I heard he's taking over the #6 Caseys General stores ride recently vacated by Tim Shaffer. If it's true, it's great to have him back on the Outlaw tour!

Did McMahan have a brother that also raced? Seems as though he did, but not sure. Also h is father was a racer, correct? Just curious.

Paul's older brother, Bobby, raced with NARC/GSC in the 80's and 90's. I used to crew for Bobby when he drove for his parents', Ron and Carol, and in the Bumgarner, Lamar, and Finkenbinder cars. Bobby also drove in USAC Western States pavement and Silver Crown for a few years for Keith Espindola(ATM).

And while his mother drove TQ's and maybe midgets a few times, his dad never drove a car.....

The McMahan's have devoted a lot of their lives to racing. They have always had quality cars and have been top notch competitors. Bobby is one of those drivers that could probably drive anything. He seems very smart, yet drives to win. Paul is a racer. He is one of the few Californian's that has laid it all on the line to make it as a true outlaw driver. He races for a living and that is a very hard life. California should be proud of Paul because he does represent us well. He may not always win, but he never quits and I think he is well respected wherever he races. Chemistry is everything, so we are pulling for Paul in his new ride.

Bobby is semi-retired from driving...he last drove a few years back in a spec sprint at Sacramento raceway...and won.... he's been supporting his son, Sean's, efforts in microsprints....I'm guessing that Sean will be in a sprint car in a year or two....

The family car was sold back in the mid-90's when Bobby first took over the Bumgarner car....Bobby and Paul both drove the family car at one point in time.....
