Belleville Midget Nationals are a lot of fun. Small town with a big fast track. The track is usually a power track early in the night but gets racier the farther they go into each night of racing. Atomosphere is great with the local county fair right behind the grandstands.

hey dude from Norman. I'm from El Reno, OK.

we go to the Knoxville 360 Nationals every year that weekend. dont know bout this year - - - but it always one of the best shows to see every year. its like the 410 nationals but without having to deal with the crowds. which is awesome. this year with gas prices - just dont know.

always wanted to go to belleville - most years they run the weekend before knoxville - so hopefullu in years to come could pull it. although I hear conflicting reports out of there. I've heard its fast - - - but most of the time offers little passing. not trying to dissuade you - - - just what I have heard is all.

the funny thing is - that weekend - here in Oklahoma - there is all sorts of big races goin on. SFS will run their weekly show with both sprint classes of course - i imagine you go there often. but I-44 will run their mini-sprint nationals that weekend. but even more compelling is the 10,000 to win - 1,000 to start Modifieds along with 2,500 to win limiteds at Enid Speedway.

I'm an open wheel fanatic but the modifieds have grown on me a whole lot. especially at SFS - they put on good races no matter the track. most other tracks are good too - we went to the NCRA modified race at Enid last year and it was a thriller. last corner pass and all. with that payout at enid man the car count should astounding. they race fri., sat., and sunday. the only negative is Sunday is an early afternoon race. a day race in august in oklahoma can be downright brutal - hopefully it will be low 90's with wind. as opposed to 104, humid, and no wind(perfect combo for heat stroke).

but if you do go to belleville - do give details of the show afterwards. I'd love to hear more about it. I hear the Late Models are really awesome there too. in case they are up there that weekend. I know the All Stars run on the Thursday of the Belleville Nationals. depending on the car count that should be cool too. hell in fact, on the night before that - on wed. July 30 the all-stars will be at 81 speedway in Wichita. so you could turn it into a whole 4 night weekend of racing. that would be cool.
