From the video it looks like you never get out of the corner. They have markers up that show you what corner you are in.

Haven't been there in 10 years or so, but they used to have the numbers of the corners painted on the walls so you would know where you are. That place is an awesome place to watch 410's or any race for that matter.

They still have each corner marked. At 3:20 in the video if you look up by the wall you will see corner 3 marker.

Wonder if the time of 14.545 set by Paul McMahan in 96 will stand when the All Stars are there 7-31 this year?

Motors just don't get a breather there do they? BTW - there is one section of straight guardrail by the flagstand - other than that it's a big curve. Pretty much the definitive "Circle Track".

The equipment that was used was from http://www.catchitcam.com/
It looks a lot better on a TV. Putting this on the web the quality and size has to be downgraded to keep the file size small.

Derek needs a bigger hammer. Maybe a 460. Wingless sprints would be awsome. I'd love to see a race live there.
The hopeless desire to outrun Bud Grimm's Fords is
why central PA became the toughest place to race on
the planet. Even the KING couldn't run with Casey
Luna's Fords on a tacky track. It's a crying shame
that current car owners failed to notice.

Why doesn't WoO run here?

They did... in 1981... from openwheeltimes.com.
A Feature
1: Wolfgang, Doug (4 - Howells) 2: Kinser, Steve (11) 3: Swindell, Sammy (1n - Nance) 4: James, Lee (15 - Pettet) 5: Allen, Bobby (1a) 6: Robison, Bill (47 - Sonner) 7: Sills, Jimmy (10 - Tuttle) 8: Leavitt, Eddie (98az - Krug) 9: Smith, Randy (43 - Graham) 10: French, Edd (77 )
It's know it's for midgets (been there a couple of times), must be ridiculous for sprints. I wish the All Star show this year wasn't on the same night as the 360 Natls prelim, decisions...
