The Cedar Lake Masters is this Friday and Saturday. WDRL Late Models and IRA Sprints. The IRA race is always a good one and the WDRL is also a regional series that puts on some big shows. It's worth the trip.

Depending on where you are, north isn't an option right now either. My tribute to our plight: http://www.zazzle.com/iowa_apocalypse_shirt-235360298176803268 Some find it tasteless. I think it's realistic.

The shirt forgets the Ice storm of Feb 2007 which was 100 times worse.
Oh and if we have to add Fire,.... Pizzaway and some of R and R burnt down just a day before flooding. Now the places are under 8ft of water. Wonder who covers the insurance on that...Flood or fire?
The car I was going ot buy with my Stim Check is under water now and might be on it's way to St Louis. 99' Lasabre 79k 3800 $2,800.
Don't feel bad about the T Shirt's out of fun and respect today I wore my Dingus Lounge vintage 1982 Wet T Shirt Contest shirt. Got some laughs.

I might entertain that idea! What is Cedar Lake again? Bull Ring or bigger track? I wonder how much if any the flooding will affect the car counts at any of these tracks.

Cedar Lake is a 3/8 mile high bank. Sprints are usually a pretty good show there. Hopefully the car count won't be down too much, but there is a lot of flooding in SE MN, and SW WI along with Iowa, so not sure how many of the drivers might be affected.
According to their web site, track was drying well, and they were racing last night (Thurs). I think that was their usual weekly show and did not involve the cars running tonight and tomorrow.

You would like this joint Paintboss... high-banked and fast!! It's definitely a trip to get up there- but by the sounds of it, you need a get-a-way! I hope things dry out soon for ya!

Sorry about the late reply, the power to the entire town of Forest Lake was out from 10:30am until 2pm. Cedar Lake is a high banked 3/8 and is a very entertaining place to watch racing. Camping facilities on site and I understand there are spots available. Party on the backstretch tonight after the races and they usually have a band or DJ. Good times, hope you can make it.

The Thursday night show was a preliminary night that gives their weekly classes an opportunity to race along with open practice sessions for the traveling teams. Most of the WDRL drivers were already up in Superior but it rained out so they headed to CLS. No Sprints last night but most of the IRA guys take I94 and I believe that's still open from Chicago.
