Copied from Cedar Lake site

If you have never seen the Interstate Racing Association (IRA) Sprint Cars at Cedar Lake you have been missing some of the fastest & closest Sprint Car action in the country! This year's event again promises to bring the best area top guns to the track. 2006 & 2007 IRA champion and defending Masters winner Travis Whitney will have a huge target on his back for this weekend. 2004 & 2005 IRA champion and current IRA point leader Scott Neitzel will look to unseat Whitney's dominance at CLS. Also on the card is Kim Mock, John Haeni, Donny Goeden, Steve Meyer, Billy Balog, Scott Uttech, Dave Uttech, Brian Kristan, Billy Haffeman, Scott Biertzer, Kurt Davis, Andy Hunt, Russel Borland, Bill Wirth, Bill Warren, Joe Symoens, Cainen Reimann, Todd King, Charley Osborn, Scott Young, Rusty Egan, John Sernett, Tim Sernett, Jerry Richert Jr & Leigh Thomas.

I was told that Garry De Wall and Scott Winters are also going to be there.

Brooke Tatnell will be there Friday night and then head to Knoxville Saturday night. Brad Barickman will then take over Brookes seat in the #34 Olson Racing car.

Uh yeah, well Billy Balog is the points leader. Also, why would you name half of those guys(better not mention any names). Probably should have only listed maybe 5 or 6 of them.

also, nice job by not listing the guy that'll probably win. Mike Reinke.

beautiful job on the announcement.

Never depend on CLS to furnish a great press release concerning sprint cars. Yeah nobody's perfect, but if they are wanting to draw in spectators maybe they should have somebody from the sprint car world proof read the damn thing first for accuracy. They did the same thing for the 360 show that was rained out earlier this season, they basically listed the names of every driver that could potentially show up.

Maybe next week they will hype the WoO show by sending a press release that talks about current Wissota point leader Donny "The Kid" Schatz taking on the travelers like Mark Kinser, brothers Sammy and Jeff Swindell, Andy Hillenburg and Johnny Herrera....lol!

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll have to reassign that task to GRP. He wrote up the results press release and is a big Sprint fan.

Speaking as somebody familiar with CLS I want to thank them for being the most Sprint friendly track in the upper Midwest. Special thanks go out to special event coordinator Ron Bernhagen (who chases Sprints when he's not working the track) and a certain anonymous push truck drive who has been helping out behind the scenes. They have come through with a solid Sprint Car schedule and it can only get better. I can forgive them for any inaccuracies in the press release because the +'s far outweigh any -'s.
