For those of you who don't know, Frankie Heimbaugh was seriously injured while running his car at the Thursday practice night for the Master's Classic Race when his left rear axle broke, sending him flipping into the turn 2 guard rail. He was hospitalized for 6 days, with a fracture in his T3 vertebrae. Recovery for Frankie will be slow going, wearing a back brace for up to 12 weeks. He will be unable to continue with the remainder of the 2008 racing season.
Frankie will be returning to the Knoxville Raceway this Saturday, as a spectator in the pits.
The Heimbaugh's had begun the t-shirt making process with Grafx2atee of Pella. Together with Dennison's Racing Tees, Grafx2atee will be sponsoring the t-shirts to help raise money for the Heimbaugh family and their medical expenses. Frankie Heimbaugh Recovery Fund T-shirts are available for sale beginning Saturday, June 14, sizes youth medium through adult xl for $20 each, 2x and 3x for $25 each under the grandstands and in the pits on race nights at the Dennison Racing Tees booth. You can also pre-order with Dennison Racing Tees, Joanne Cram (jcramit92@aol.com) or Grafx2atee (andrea@grafx2atee.com).
Thanks in advance for helping support one of our racing family members!
