When will Tony Stewart hire somebody to prep that once famous mecca of sprint car racing. I must agree with Tmac's comments regarding the race there last weekend. I tried and tried for many races, but it's the same ole story. Dust in hotlaps!!!!!  Who could see anything 5 laps into the feature. Really turned off the other couple that were with us-first time attenders they were.  Perhaps Tony, with all due respect, is in negotiations to fly that All-American, Mom's apple pie type banner-Toyota-at the once famous shrine., instead of returning the facility to the way it was with Mr. Baltes. Thanks America, for supplying my freedom and prosperity. What's next-possibly a North Korean or Cuban sponsorship. Makes me ill, it does. As my grandparents and parents.

Bullshit BRR, they have that track so sealed that water is'nt going to get down very far. Unless it was a slight mist like @ the 1 Big one. I skipped the crap & went to Toledo & watched a guy go from the front to the Back & back to the front to win the race & Oh did I mention the top 2 passed each other about 4 times the last couple of laps of the USPRO race, Michael Pickens (midget racer) from NZ came from 22nd to 8th in the ASA only to get spun around & backwards in the wall. Now back to Eldora, This might be the 1st Kings Royal in years that I don't go to. What was it Hines said, Something about being scared in the feature from the dust.

Canada's hotbed of sprintcar racing, Winnipeg Manitoba. LOL

Actually, I would have to say the real hotbed would be Ohsweken right now. With them running sprints on a weekly basis and the Outlaws racing there again this summer, I'd give them the title. I heard nothing but good things about that track and their show there last year. Not to mention the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals. I'm looking forward to the Outlaw race being broadcast on Speed this time round.

When some of my friends and I were at Eldora at various times in the '70's it was always a dust bowl. In fact - I have never understood why it is considered such a great track. As a spectator it's difficult to see the cars (at least with the wings sometimes you can kind of make out who is who) - and it has to be horrid on the engines... all of that dust. Now I think a lot of tracks aren't putting as much water on the tracks because of fuel prices... but Eldora has always been dusty - from my point of view.

Yes, I do agree with you Carol14. But not as often as it seems to be the last 3 years. The claim of new dirt(clay)? I know a fine fellow that preps at Tri-State that may be available for some prep instruction.
