I heard about the Pro Stock deal last nite but wasnt in the infield to know for sure. It still looks like the "issue" of who you are comes into play not only in the tech area but calls on the track has a little taintedness to it as well.

How does an infraction get reversed? There has got to be some sort of explanation.I dont know much about SFS rules in any classes but that would be a spit in the face to all the ones who race there.I guess it goes back more like the AMA,He who cheats the bestest wins the mostest.

Well all of you know that Lanny's Favorites will not get DQ'ed in tech, and I know one of his favorites puffed to big over the limit and the call was reversed, and Lanny will not change his mind.... Mark Brill should maybe be the Tech Man cause at least he knows what he is checking and looking at, just my .02

Y U P Mark is not having to answer to the Fair bored, the City of ANY WHERE, or to a group of people around his track wanting it closed...... But what does that matter. He has taken that Meeker track and made it a success when a lot of people said it couldnt be done. And he dont play no stinkin favorites or put up w/cheaters

Yep, and they need to learn how to throw black flags for rough driving. I saw quite a few instances last night that called for black flagging. He's a joke and thats why i wont be back. Poor track prep, poor flagging and no standing behind the rules.

I have no idea what happened, but this brings me to a good point. Everyone wonders why no one will protest. Here is a perfect example. Even if the "tech guy" does find something, it can be reversed because Lanny says so.

Well I got some info from someone who was down there. The top 5 cars were puffed, Jarvis was asked before he started puffing what was the "go-no go" number he said it was 43 brill puffed a 42, Hicks was puffed a 39, Beane was puffed a 42, Rhodes puffed legal and Smith was puffed a 45 on 3 different puffings. Jarvis and Slugo both were scratching their heads trying to figure out how to get out of there before bedtime so they call "Little Lanny" down and he stated "well I guess he'll be O K" and all three official high tailed it out of there leaving the other 4 Drivers in dismay. So how does that leave all the other SFS Teams feeling now that you know what can happen in Tech when your not a "Favorate". If some one can tell me a different story please do, Slugo I know you read this board, explain this to the people you expect to show up and go by your rules when you cant even enforce the rule you have now without getting sent to your bedroom without dinner.

Sounds like Jarvis pulled a number out of his head and wasn't sure if it was correct. Lanny and his goons are a joke. BTW, I am a friend of Steve's but you gotta be legal when you get checked. Just the way it is man.

More info has come in on the "Huffin and Puffin". It seems like the Champs went through some of the same issues. There were some Drivers in that class that Puffed over a 43 as well. Things were not cleared up until someone from the officiating crew actually went to get the sheet that the formula to compute the Cubic Inch was on. After the Formula was brought out all drivers were "found legal". This issue could of been avoided if our tech people would spend 5 minutes making sure of what their doing before they go try to do their job. In my humble opinion there were no "Illegal Drivers" but only "Illegal Tech People"!

If you take those # times 8 you get
Beane 42 x 8 = 336 cubic inch
Brill 42 x 8 = 336 cubic inch
Hicks 39 x 8 = 312 cubic inch
Smith 45 x 8 = 360 cubic inch
These # show a 38 cubic inch diffrence
How accurate is the puffer I am sure all these guys are running atleast a 350 the rule is max 360

Temp. of a motor has a bearing on a puffer. You have to put that into the formula. By the way I'm sickin my "little Runt" Colby Propps on you in a few weeks, we bought a Mini Stock over the weekend.

JD I understand the heat deal but heat will make a motor puff big.
My point is that the puffer is not accurate becouse it puffed Hicks motor at 312 unless he is running a .060 bore 305
Cool deal on the ministock we need more cars If you need any help getting it going let me know I am sure it is a FORD.

I'm thinking there must have been some other kind of "puffin'" going on. Your either legal or your not. There's not a lot of gray there.
Who were the techs, Cheech and Chong????

Not only is the temp of the motor at the time but if the cylinders are dry you will get a low number as well, many times when we ran ASCS and were checked we would have to spray WD40 in the cylinder to get an acurate reading.
