I am curious what the GSC drivers will do on their weekend off due to the cancelled Calistoga Memorial Weekend frown There are some choices if they still wanted to race and I am curious who is going where. There is a non- wing USAC race at Tulare on Sunday and there is extra money for the winged drivers. There is also a 360/CW race on Saturday and Sunday in Chico for the fair and it's only $7 to get in the fair and the race. What a great deal and opportunity for people to see a sprint car race for the first time! Or they could just stay home and rest up for Placerville the weekend after.

Bud Kaeding is running Tulare

Tyler Walker is running Chico

Jonathan Allard is running Doyle's car in Elma

Word from last weekend: Suggs is going to watch in Tulare, BK is going to Tahoe and TK said that he was probably taking weekend off as well

I think for many it will give people an opportunity to get the truck, trailer and race car ready for the second half of the season. With day-jobs, school in some cases and a race every weekend it is easy to get behind. Most of the race people I spoke to are not complaining about the off weekend.

Sprintcar Kelly - you should really consider going to Tulare to watch the traditional sprint cars run at that terrifc facility. Hope both Kaedings make the show, as they are well worth the price of admission, and I know for sure that Peter Murphy plans on being there in a 410. And Suggs is a terrific young driver. It will be fun watching Tony Jones, Corey Kruseman, Danny Sheridan, Blake Miller, David Cardey, young Codey Williams (Rip's son) and many other stars of the CRA take on the wingers.

I'm looking forward to the show on Sunday. The traditional sprints really put on a good show at Tulare. From the sounds of it, not too many wingers are going to show up- even with the offer of bonus money. I am sure it'll be a great show nontheless. Hopefully a few of the Bandit regulars and wingers based in the valley will make the show.
