March 27th oprn practice, March 29th racing under the lights at Barona Speedway. SAME PURSE AS WAS AT VICTORVILLE LAST YEAR. $700.00 to win full pay out based on a 20 car field. The race track has been reconfigured with wider straight a ways and higher banking in the turns. This is a racey little joint, just ask Ricky Gaunt, he loved it when the SCRA raced here a few years back. The rules are the same as Victorville accept no nitro and some kind of muffler, not a 180 degree muffler mind you, byt some kind of muffler. We have 4 races on the schedule so far this year. Lets support this venue and maybe we can get some more shows here in the future.Lets get back to havin' fun racin' again. See ya thursday night for practice, or at least saturday afternoon for some fun racing!!! More info on the track and schedule on the web at www.baronaspeedway.com

Ricky's right when says that it is a racy little place. It has a very relaxed atmosphere also. When I went there you could bring your own ice chest of food and goodies. They did not sell beer so you were on your own. However, the roads into the place are narrow and twisty and would send a snake to a chiropactor.

Thanks for the almost immediate response to the purse issue, but reality is ,it never is about money at Barona,it's about the fun.You go there, everybody works together to put on an a good show and you leave with a new group of friends...a great weekend ...

Barona should race sprint cars on a night that Perris is not racing sprint cars!

Ditto, I dont know how many times this HAS to be discussed but it is a never ending issue that some promoters never seem to get the message on!

I'm not sure about this, but I think it has more to do with running the sprints with the stocks, and they run those on the off nights for The PAS so the stockers from the PAS will come to Barona. But I agree with the concept, I wish they'd run the sprints on PAS off nights too, so I could go, I love Barona and it is closer to my home.

Barona scheduled their sprint car races to not conflict with Victorville so those racers could come. It wasen't able to schedule no conflict with Perris and Victorville and Ventura all three. And yes you can still bring your own coolers ond pic nic baskets to the track. Have fun! Thats the name of the game!
