Racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Racecar upside
down is expensive.

I would have to agree on the economics. I would also like to see a 305 class here in or around the OK area, afterall this is the birthplace of the ASCS. They race them in Knoxville and in PA Posse country why not here? With oil prices the way they are and the ever rising cost of racing along with it the budget racer is going to be extinct.

I have a 600cc non wing with a Suzuki GSXR 600 one set of crankshaft bearings cost me $83.70 VS one set for a 305 (CLEVITE from Summit Racing) $23.95. Or blow a 600cc and new crankcases will run a guy 1600.00 VS a Stock 305 block at a fraction of that.

I would like to see some of us here in OK campaign for a 305 class.

Well its all relative. You can spend the farm or you can be resourceful and find good deals. It just depends on how new of a chassis you want or what your motor rules dictate. Here's something I don't understand. I have never driven a 600cc deal but I do race a 305 car, and I don't understand how a guy can say he would rather race a mini sprint over a full size car.

and then the next few posts will be about fuel costs, how they should take the wing off, who's posse, why people love or hate the WoO, some comment about how this is a racing board, Hillary, Obama, xxx race cars, pit pass prices, who will drive for Guy Forbrook.....the bitch list goes on and on....

KSquared Racing, get in contact with Rick Salem from the United Rebel Sprint Series! The URSS is always wanting to expand. Its too late to start a series this year most likely, but next year is looking good! The URSS expanded to four regions this year. The website is http://www.unitedrebelsprintseries.com/ . Go to the forum and start a thread on what you want!

Hey now, you forgot "Where are the Chessons?", "Anybody want to buy a helmet dryer?", and "I still have three tickets to the Mopar Million for sale."

I agree it is all relative, however when you rebuild a engine for a 600cc micro sprint you will see that the cost of parts is not relative. You say you have never tried one, so I dont think you will really ever know there is no relativity. However, I my area it would be nice to have a 305 association or at least racing. This would allow others who see it is cheaper to build and maintain a 305 vs a 600cc micro to run a real sprint instead of a wanna be sprint car.

So if you want to race and cant afford a 360 Sprint and there are no 305 classes then the next best thing here is 600cc.

i run a race saver 305 and there are goes going out and having pro build motors built and spending 15,000 on it. You can build them in your garage cheaper then that. heres a few website. the only thing is it still cost money to get there and money for fuel the car and alot of times you lossing money.
