While effective, all that would do in the US is get a bunch of bleeding heart liberals and their lawyers suing the police, the motorcycle manufacturer(for building and selling an unsafe bike), the helmet manufacturer(for the same reasons), and the municipality(unsafe intersection), the cop who drove the car that stopped the thief......and anyone else that they think they can......

I just wish we could take care of situations like that over here. Jackasses like terrorists, or the latest fad of deranged kids shootin up the school, should be taken down in the same fashion, no standoffs, no negotiating, just "lead to the head".
Chuck says it right, we couldnt do that cause the liberals, & the other "polically correct" anals out there would make sure everybody got sued & put in jail that had anything to do with the takedown,,, everybody but the actual criminal.
I could never be a judge or a cop. The first time I see a child molester, or some terrorist, or drug runner,, its bullet time, or death sentence. If I ran the prisons, itd be Death Row Day every friday, any poor ass thats on the list, gets his hair curled, courtesy of a million volts (or whatever they use for amperage).
There would be a little more space in the jails, cause of my "clearance sale".
i have no problem moving straight to the penalty phase of justice when the vermin is caught in the act.
