This is the official thread for the SFS Fantasy Series, this thread will be used throughout the season to post your line up for the week. The first post for anyone entering this league will be your team name and back up line up, the back up line up will only be used if the commisioner can not find a line up for that team that week. You can change your back-up line-up anytime as long as you have a current line-up for that week.. Each week each team will be picking "One" from each class running that nite including ASCS, Picks can be the same.. The format is as follows, each team will have two different ways of winning each week "Team to Team" and "League Winner". Each week you will be going up against one other team as well as the whole league, you may not win against the "whole league" but you can still win your "Team to Team". The "Point Systems" is as follows, if you pick somebody in the "top 5" your points are as follows, 1 for first, 2 for second, 3 for third and so on to the 20th posistion recieving 20 points any pick not making the A will recieve 21 points or 25 if 24 start the A.. If you pick somebody out of the top 5 and they win your points will be -5 for first, -4 for second, -3 for third, -2 for 4th, -1 for 5th, 1 for 6th and 2 for 7th and a 20th place finish recieving 15 points, the first week there will be "no" picks out of the top 5 until a top 5 is determined and the first week is the "first points race". Research may have to be done to determine if Drivers such as Randy Timms decides to race that nite and he is not a top 5 Driver but with Line-ups being due by 7:00 all teams can view other teams pick before determining you own Line-up. Depending on how many teams enter the league we will be dividing it into "divisions" and a "playoff" can be developed for the end of season that will be announced later. OKCFan12 is our commisioner and his responsibility is to keep track of the scoring in the League his efforts are what makes this league possible and we all should apprieciate his efforts. If "Unforseen' problems develope we will disscuss the issue and OKCFan12, Dogwater and BobcatJD will make a final call on a "majority rules basis". Remeber this is "just for fun" and no $$$ are involved {side wagering is OK}. Line-up will be due by 7:00 on the Fri. nite or schedual start time of the race if its a Sat. race

Okay. Maybe I'm missing something here but I'm not sure I understand how JD's point system hurts someone who picks a driver who is not in the top five. It seems to me it would encourage it.

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but the way I understand JD's point system is if you pick a driver out of the top 5 and say they finish tenth... under JD's system you would get 5pts. Under the system you purpose they would get 10 pts the same as they would have gotten if they had picked a driver within the top 5. It seems to me like JD's system would encourage people to pick out of the top 5 and not punish them but like I said maybe I'm missing something here.

Also, can you please explain to me how you are getting these 36-40 pt scenarios?

The cut-off date is OK, There needs to be time to develope a schedual for team to team and you being acting commissioner that date you choose is good. Ya Gary Wright maybe Nat'l but I dont know these ASCS Drivers "Yet". OkcFan12 if you pick a Driver outside of the top 5 the most point that can be awarded to that team is 16 if he dosent make the A or 20 if there is a 24 car field. I still dont see how you come up with 36 to 40 points out of that? I just want to make it where people can follow it easy at the track.

thank you very much sir for that info. was gonna take a chance there kinda - the kid keeps gettin better and better every year though. My backup lineups won't matter - as I'll be on here throughout all weeks to do picks. everyone remember that - the back up lineup is just that - a backup...............

backups really only apply is for some unfortunate reason you can't get on the net and get your pics in. other than that - pick every week. hey JD - will we score the spring nationals as 1 matchup or 2 seperate? think I know the answer to that but best to clarify.............thinkin maybe it be best to do as 1 matchup for the 2 nights.

That sounds fine with me, but we will not be able to have picks out of the top 5 until April 4th when a top 5 for SFS is established. And 1 macth up for the first week is OK too!
