From the way the season started it's gonna be one hell of a points battle between Dollansky, Meyers, Schatz and Saldana. If either of the Kinsers or Lasoski gets going we could have 6 or 7 in it this year, and that would be something.

Don't you love it when fans are predicting seasons points champions 2 races into a 80 race campaign?

Going by the first weekend I'm thinking Dollansky and Meyers are on pace to score about 40 wins each this season.

Well no kidding idiot. You just listed 1/3rd of the outlaws that will be racing the entire schedule. You just forgot CK though.

Not to defend someone who called you an idiot but, 7 is one third of 21, which is how many full timers we are supposed to have.

I think it would be great to have 6 or 7 drivers in the championship fight until the last race. Probably won't happen.

I know 7 is 1/3 of 21. Hence me saying that he could do math.

What's wrong with someone being excited about the potential of a season? Why call him an idiot? Do you win bonus internet cool points by bashing other posters in a forum? If so, I know a canadian and a central PA guy that have a huge lead on you.

As long as they don't do it in a "chase" format, yeah it would be great.

No! But neither does standing up for someone who seems a little arrogant to what goes on in a grueling 9 or 9 1/2 month season. There won't be a meyers or dollansky for that matter in the championship battle at the end. Right now there are only 3 or 4 guys capable of putting a season of running up front every night together. I'm guessing MOST of us know who those select few are. It sure isn't 2 or 14!!!! Remember last year, schatz won by a little over 100 points, look up how many top tens and top fives a honestly tell me that those two are capable of doing that.

Did you mean ignorant? And Meyers finished 2nd in points in 2005, remember that? Dollansky is with a brand new team and in six nights of racing he was one of the fastest cars every night. Just because Schatz won by over 100 points last year doesn't mean he will this year. At the end of last season Meyers really came on. He was consistently in the front the last couple of months, and passed Schatz for the win in North Carolina. It looks to me that Meyers has carried that over to this season. I don't know why you don't think Dollansky or Meyers can play a factor. Maybe Schatz will dominate again this season. But I am very hopeful that he won't, and I would really like to see a great points battle.

In rogue's original post he uses the phrase "could have 6 or 7 in it this year" and ends his post with "that would be something". He's presenting a scenario that is a possibility at this point wether it be early or not. In my opinion it's a positive outlook on what may come. That's why it's so easy for some of you to attack it. This forum lets no good deed or intention go unpunished so I guess that I shouldn't really be surprised.

You act like the season is predetermined. Will you be attending any WoO races this season? If so, why bother? You already have determined the outcome and might as well not waste your money and time. Right?

While your at it, can you look into your little crystal ball and tell me the winning numbers for the ohio lottery this week. I heard that there might be a sprint car sanctioning body that could belly flop at any given moment and I wanna be there with the big check to buy up the slop thats left over from the carnage when it goes down.

I meant arrogant because I felt you message was pretty cocky. If that's not true, then my apologies! Meyers running strong to start the year or ending the year matters squat!!! When June comes, you'll start to see who will be challenging for the championship. Let June play out to see who the real runners are. When the heat and pressure of racing 3,4 or 5 nights a week, every week start is when you also see most racers start slipping back!!!! Schatz used to run strong to end the year for how many years before he could run strong every night. My point is only a few have proven they can do that.

the only thing that doesn't mean squat is what you keep posting IMO. If the order of the day is to be constient everytime out.......then Dollansky and Meyers are on there way to doing that. Do you have short term memory loss? Meyers finished 2nd in 2005 and then was really gelling at the end of last year. And that's huge IMO. How many times do you hear a athlete or driver say they want to finish their year on a positive note going into the next season......ALL THE TIME. So I suggest you take it easy and let the chips fall where they may. Who know's what can happen and there's to much variables to make a prediction that Schatz, Saldana or Kinser are going to run away with the championship. That's just ludicrous to say at this time. Oh yeah and were going to Tulare for 2 day's of racing were guy's like TK(most wins there), and Meyers do really well at.

Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down
