Did the posse race last night (Wednsday)?? I swore a couple of them were starting in the top 6 of the A main, but damn, I couldn't find their name in the top 5 results. I did happen to see that one of the midwest mafia guys (who started back in 9th) won though. Apparently Wayne has a map and knows how to win anywhere in the country. You see, this means GOING FORWARD!!!!! I was really dissapointed I couldn't find your recap of the night's race's BRR. Will they be coming sometime soon?

They keep talking about the movie theatre alot, Maybe they were at the movies! Probably "Talladega Nights", I hear they have claimed "Ricky Bobby" as Posse because Will Ferrell once made a movie in Pa.

It was a bit of a dissapointing night for us in PA, although we only had one car starting in the top 8, but I still say putting 7 in the show, winning 3 of 4 heat races, and ending the night 1, 2, 3, & 4 in All Star points isn't too bad a night. It probably could be noted that Mark Smiths team ran a total of 2? races last year and that was the 2nd this year, so 4 races in that wasn't a terrible run against that competition.

I would like to congratulate Wayne Johnson on his run. Great to see a small team take on the big guys and win, especially the way he won driving up from 9th and passing two outlaws simultaneously to take the lead. I tip my hat to Wayne and that team, not often you see a 358/360 team drop a 410 in and win.

congrats to Wayne Johnson!

to answer your questiuon - "I am not sure"

as i look over the results, i wonder...did McCarl pull out of Floriduh after the 360 races? is TK running for Allstar points?

when will the Posse be paid tow money to match the multi million $ teams that are down there?

for the record - i have not been to a movie theatre since attending a movie was called Ronin and the year was 1998. since then hollywood has fallen out of favor with me...and into the embrace of foreigners.

Apparently you shut off the broadcast before it was over due to humiliation, but I'd swear I heard Wayner say in his post-race interview that they were probably the lowest budget team down there. Taking this comment into consideration, why would the posse need multi millions dollars to beat them? Wayne did it without.

One lousy night and you put us under- thats real sad. Maybe they wont do so great down there- maybe they will. We dont care - our season starts in 2 weeks. We will be real happy to have our guys back near the porch. Sad for you tho- seems your life may revolve around making stupid comments on a message board- we will be racing. LIVE, And having fun.

BTW- Posse still tops in point for the allstars- hum, funny huh- not to shabby if you ask me!

Here's some names: Kraig Kinser, Terry McCarl, Tim Kaeding, Jason Meyers, Jeff Shepard, Chad Kemenah, Paul McMahon, Jac Haudenschild, Dale Blaney, Stevie Smith, Lance Dewease

Now when I look at this list I see a All Star Champions, WoO Champions, Knoxville Nationals Champions, Williams Grove National Open Champions, and two or three drivers that are supposed to contend for this years WoO championship.

What these names have in common, is that none of them even took to the track for the feature last night. So, although the posse is garbage to you, 7 of them out performed these names last night (yes, I know I have 2 posse names on here, but they're both going to be in the Sprint Car Hall of Fame). Wayne Johnson had an awesome race last night, a dream race for a team like that, and any accolades are well deserved, but it's possible that every name up top could beat him tonight.

This brings me to two points, A) Enjoy the next 8 hours of Johnson's victory, he may not even be in the A-main tonight, and B) Bashing the Posse (a region, not a santioned series) is just insane to me. I would put them up against any other region in the country driver for driver. I'm not saying a driver such as Wayne Johnson couldn't beat the top Pa drivers (PA doesn't have ONE top driver, there are about 6-7 that everyone argues over, not including Dewease, Wolfe, or S.Smith). In other words, PA's #8 driver is as good as their #1, we don't have the fall off like other regions do (IMO, obviously). You could put Johnson up as your #1 driver against whoever #1 is after last night from PA and beat them. You could put probably a group of 5 drivers together and match PA's top 5. Get 10 together, thats gonna be tough, anything beyond that, I really don't think PA can be touched for weekly racing talent. Asked why they don't travel and I always get the same answer. It's not that they are afraid of running with the sanctions, it's because once you figure in all the traveling the All-Stars do,its probably more profitable to run in PA since our purses are not much below theirs, and the tow money is substantially cheaper(not to mention hotels, food, and other travel expenses). Brian Leppo's interview after winning the Summer Nationals Pre-lim answered the questions perfectly: "We want to travel, but I have two beautiful kids and a beautiful wife at home that I need to take care of" Personally, I think it's pretty cool he (and others) are able to balance a family life, a career, and still keep the teams that race for a living out of a paycheck when they come to PA.

Either way, I'll get to see a good race tonight and hopefully PA can put at least 7 more in the feature like it has the last 2 nights. We all know that the WoO has the best teams and drivers in the world, but that's why the bragging rights are so big when they get beaten.

Speaking of that. In victory lane he said, "I don't care what anybody says, we're a low budget team. Tony Stewart can throw all the money he wants."

The competition is tougher in Florida than any other race all year except the Nationals. They have the best field of cars every winter and the results are generally the same as they are at Knoxville in August. A split field at the Nat's gives you the odd fluke win but on Saturday everything goes back to normal.

What most of the country knows and the Posse fan won't accept is the simple fact that the ONLY place they are generally a threat to win is at the Grove and it's simply the track there, NOTHING else. The true sprint car fan in PA knows this and accepts it and they are in the majority, a few dummies led by you know continue to ignore the facts and only their stupidity is greater than their lack of knowledge.

There are so many great drivers in this country NOT from PA it amazes me when they are not recognized. Last night is another example and I think that many guys from the ASCS series would beat the Posse OFTEN on neutral ground. Gary Wright, Shane Stewart, Jason Johnson, Travis Rilat are just a few that come quckly to mind. Winning on the road is what matters the most to me and these guys have all done enough of that. The key phrase in evaluating talent to me has always been 'neutral ground' and when the Posse are thrown into that mix they regularly come up awful short. Been saying this for about 15 years now, eventually a few who need it the most will get it, lol. Take It Easy.....

you reap what you sow. when the posse has one good night their fans jump all over everyone else. so to get jumped on when they have a bad night is is fair play. still, admitting they had a bad night and taking it in stride makes you ok in my book.

Nelligan - You're an idiot

BRR et al - You're idiots

I've stayed out of this thing as long as I can but this shit isn't just old it's both pointless and stupid. I know I'm gonna catch heat for this from some people particularly close friends of Nellie's (of which I have considered myself for quite some time) but unlike "friends" of Britney's it's hard for me to just stand by and watch the insanity. Pick an argument that you can win DECISIVELY! You know - like my favorite "Sammy's an ass". You get either agreement or crickets chirping on that one every time! It's like shooting fish in a barrel. I know that one won't work for Nelligan (further possible evidence of a possible lack of better judgment) but still.....you can come up with SOMETHING. Wouldn't it be nice to have a clear victory for a change? Or do you (particularly the two of you) just enjoy being a part of this never ending circle jerk so much that you'll quit when you're dead? Please tell me this isn't so......

As a PA fan, I'd like to think I fit in the "true sprint car fan" from PA category, and that is probably why I agree with most of this. Some Posse fans hate when the Outlaws are in town, saying we don't need them for good racing. That is true, but, if we want to know how we stack up against the BEST, than we do need them. There is no doubt there are plenty of great drivers outside PA, look at the hometowns on the WoO website and you see that. I do think there are drivers in PA that could run with the outlaws in the right situation, but I totally agree that the list of drivers you name could run with anyone in PA as well (didn't Jason Johnson drive the Kline-22 a few years ago with moderate success?).

My reason for supporting the Posse in many arguments is because the purpose of the Outlaws is to compile the greatest group of drivers in the sport, and send them around to "steal" tracks purse money (hence: "outlaw"wink. They do this with relative ease everywhere they go, but statistics and there own opinions constantly remind us of one place where that isn't the case, Williams Grove. In my eyes, the goal of the Posse racers is to keep the money there, and over the last 6 years they have won 41% of the WoO events held there. What other track in the country can claim that?

In my eyes, it's impossible to compare the two, apples to apples. At Williams Grove, the Posse has the benefit of it being a home track event. Anywhere else in the country, the Outlaws have the advantage of deeper pockets, and a dedicated crew and crew chief whose only job is to learn how to make the car faster and has way more experience in doing so in ever changing environments (as opposed to working a regular job and then wrenching on a car for little to no money on the weekend, like most in PA do).

PA is just different all around, it's the only place in the country where you really don't need to leave to get the recognition because we have so many tracks all packed in one place. In other words, you can't make a living or a name running locally many places, therefore you chase the sanctions, in PA you can, so many drivers opt for a better family life in exchange for the dream of being the next Steve Kinser on tour.

Agreed

When your dealing with so many great cars at one place it is silly for any side to claim overall greatness after any one night, because tomorrow your team/driver could be watching the A-Main from atop their hauler.

So here I am, reading race results... ... and WOW Wayne Johnson put a whipping on everyone! Great run for an underdog! But rather than being in good mood because Wayne beat the Outlaws, All Stars and everyone, I end up annoyed because some Posse Basher had to p*ss in my Wheaties. Thanks a lot!
