Topic: USAC/CRA Sprints tentatively scheduled for Calistoga!

Posted today, USAC unveiled their 2008 partial schedules and the USAC/CRA Sprints are pencilled in for a two-day show at the famed Calistoga Speedway on August 30, 31, 2008! Let's hope that this comes to fruition, as it would be a fitting return of non-wing racing back to the hallowed ground of the beautiful 1/2 mile facility in the heart of the N.Cal winecountry! I for one can't wait for this long awaited event.......

You beat me to it. I've known this was pretty firm since New Year's (we were at Benson's New Years Eve) weekend thanks to sources who have provided me with info in the past but asked me not to mention anything (it seams a certain fair manager lurks here :-)...). The press release here http://www.hoseheads.com/usac.html from USAC is the closest thing to official that has ever been issued on this subject. I hope everyone is crossing whatever they can cross, saying whatever prayers they can, or carrying whatever lucky charm they might so that this long awaited event takes place. I'll probably be there Labor Day Weekend with or without a race but I'd just as soon be in extended good company at the race track :-)......!
